330i exhaust AWE vs Dinan

Looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 2022 330i M sport. Trying to decide between the new AWE track/touring and the Dinan exhaust. Been trying to find as many sound clips of the two that I can, but there does not seem to be many. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on these two exhausts. I currently do not have any mods done to my car at all. I want an exhaust that will sound great, but not be obnoxious.

AWE and Dinan both have sounds clips on YouTube. Both sound great as long as you don't de-cat.

I did listen to those. Didn’t find much more outside of those and wanted to hear from people who might have one of them installed.

I just got the AWE track installed on my 330i. Stock downpipe. It’s a lot louder than stock. Here’s the Sound clip

Sounds good! Since it doesn’t have a muffler or a flap does it pretty much always sound the same? Or does switching between sport mode and comfort sound different?

This piece replaces the part that had the flap so there is no more flap. So its basically always on "open" now and does not change when switching the drive mode.

Thanks. The more I look into I think the Dinan might be a better fit for me. I am worried that the AWE might be too aggressive sounding, maybe I am wrong...

Dinan sounds like the better option for you

If they only do OBD check then it should pass, if they do a visual it might not pass.

Have you ever considered the Valvetronic one? It takes the OEM Valve electronic system which you can control like your OEM exhaust. It seems more convenient for people who want to be loud on Track and Quiet around your neighbours. Leaning more on this one rather than AWE for instance.

Curious to have comments/experience feedbacks from the community if someone has installed it.

Am wondering the same about valvetronic.

And does anyone know the story with the gold-plated valvetronic system shown on the Ecs tuning site? Yes it’s gold, but the piping is completely different than what’s shown on the valvetronic site. Is it some sort of prototype?

Hey, I just got the Dinan axleback for my 330i as well. However, when the valves are closed, there is an unusual squeaking/chirping sound from the valve. I’ve attached a video of the situation. The good ol’ Dinan valve rattle… Good news and bad news.. Good news this is completely normal for the dinan axel back. Bad news this is completely normal… I ran into the exact same issue with my and ended up returning it and going with the remus axel back. No complaints but it’s been pretty short lived because my m340i is on its way.
