I've worked as a valet before - if I can squeeze a lifted Excursion into a compact spot between a Ferrari and a BMW without a scratch, I feel pretty confident in being able to park a 4 series.

...it's the other assholes who can't park a Mini Cooper in a space I could fit a 3500 dually diesel into that are the problem.

Life pro tip that you guys probably already mostly know : Back your car in everywhere, even your own garage. It's safer, has better maneuverability, etc.
I thought I didn't want or need the power tail gate too but realized it was nice not having to close it manually like my current car. For just $250 I thought what the hell. Perhaps oddly, I also felt like not putting as much stress on the CF spoiler on the trunklid

I can certainly park w/o issues, I think since I've never had automated parking I'd get a kick out of it every once in a while. Besides, can you always park exactly in the center of the space and the perfect distance from the curb or other cars on either side?!?
In any case, that 360 camera is the main reason.

when I shut my trunk, I usually grab the inner tail light to shut it. not sure if you mean stress by the impact of shutting the trunk.

and I'd like the 360 cam because its really cool to me. and my garage is really small so it would help when i back in.

I'd definitely have gotten driver assist pro. coming from corollas and rav4s there isnt much to miss but radar cruise control is very nice on the interstate.

That's an acquired taste to be sure. I'd probably take this over Sunset Orange however

As you stated, no one is often happy with the color they choose and regret not going for a different one. Personally I think this Yas Blue is more "Smurf" than Laguna Seca Blue which I remembered from the e46 M3 days. I know it was available on later generations but it wasn't one of my top choices let's say. I went for a standard metallic silver shade myself, nice and safe.

Totally OT but how are things over there in The Netherlands nowadays? I know COVID hit pretty hard there for a while.

Avus blue > Yas marina blue imo.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1422087

I was very close to ordering Avus but couldn't justify the $3k price difference (give or take) between Avus and Tanzanite.

None of the other blues ever did much for me. Funnily enough the launch colour of the RS4 Nogaro blue tickles the same spot for me.

They both just make their presence known.

Someone in work just got a new M340i touring but kept it cerinium, tanzanite and no extra bits. Looks like a classy bmw but no more. Fine if you want the sleeper look but I think the car is too special to blend in.
Highly reccomend most m perofrmance bits and black trim. Dravit is also a bit special.

Netherlands still fucked like most places. Barbers only open next week after 3 months.

I wasn't even aware of Avus blue. Just shows how much I know about BMW colors

I think Tanzanite is better than Avus based on the photos, personally. I'm not usually one to buy blue, but if I did it would probably be the darker shade of blue like Tanzanite. Yeah it's definitely not worth 3 grand IMO. I would consider Estoril blue if it was a choice and if so, not one that costs a few thousand extra.

Side question but is Frozen Gray Metallic an option for us in the US? I didn't see it listed anywhere. That looks pretty cool though I haven't seen it in person.

Shit at least you can actually buy an RS4. Audi doesn't even offer it to us over here which I can't understand. I almost bought one back in 2006 when they did sell it here, the B7 platform but ended up with a standard S4 in stead.

Sucks about not being able to get a haircut, lol.

I've got the art of grabbing the inner handle, flinging the trunk lid down hard enough to close, it but not hard enough to slam it, and getting my hand out of the way MASTERED like a boss I kind of missed working that synchronization with my power trunks

Main thing I don't like about the current M2's is the interior...I think the G20/G22 interior is a massive improvement over the outgoing F30/F32 interior, and the M2 at the moment still has the old interior.

Admittedly since it's also a superficial dumb thing, all performance measurements and dimensions aside, I feel like the 4 series is simply better "balanced" in terms of looks for the front + rear. The 2 series rear end looks squashed to me.
Had to sell my M2 because the suspension was way too stiff for street use in lovely Maryland....wonderful on the track though...

Yeah, I can understand that. I think there are a lot of people that have the same wish as you. I personally got over my desire to have the third pedal. I've had a number of manual trannies and I have to say my all time favorite was my 2006 Cayman S with a short shifter. It had a lot of other options I loved too. Hard to beat a mid-engine pure sports car. My only complaint was it lacked the power at that time. I'm jealous of the owners of today's Cayman that has a lot more power and offers PDK ironically.
Yup.....we had a 2002 Boxter S....great on track...

For the most part I've done the same with my Audi, but I decided I'd prefer NOT to have to do that

Me too, loved my M2, but over my 12 month ownership of mostly daily driving the suspension broke me😥

The Individual colors can be found here:
https://visualizer.bmw-individual.co...=1&lang=EN#top You need to fill in Series, Body Style and Model.
Lots of blues available for $$$ if you can get an allocation. And Frozen Dark Grey is shown.

Oh yeah I forgot about Blue Hera Mica. That one is gorgeous too.

I would have loved to do this style but with black / blue stitching + Cognac...

Very cool, thanks.

You're right, there are a ton of blues on there! I'm not sure why Mineral White is shown on there as a "special paint" though. I don't think my sales guy knew what he was talking about because I asked if there were individual colors available for the M340i and I'm pretty sure he said no at the time. I had always wondered why a shade of silver isn't offered for this model as a standard color choice.

No regrets whatsoever about my Arctic Race Blue G22. I’ve enjoyed every one of the 4,000 miles I’ve driven it and I get tons of compliments on both the styling and the color. Even from some BMW owners. LOL
