Sport Display G Meter

Did anyone know that the new Sport Displays include a G-Meter? Just saw that last week in a M340i xDrive and thought it was pretty cool. Question is, how much can you pull by launching in that thing?

I like to see oil temp every moment. This data should be always visible

Agreed.

I'm pretty disappointed that our new X3 doesn't have an oil temp meter. Dash only shows coolant temp.

Never mind the G force, it's got a boost gauge!

Do M cars still have the oil temp gauge? I know that the M2 famously didn't have one, and I'm wondering if the new cars with digital displays still care for that

Yes my F80 M3 had one, ah but that didn't have a digital dash.

I am not sure how valuable G meter really is. M340i does not serve as a good substitute for centrifuge training. Oil temperature? Absolutely.

You can also display it on your virtual cockpit gauge cluster by pressing the BC button on the turn signal.

Thanks. I use the BC one now. Looking for the full screen on the Idrive.

On cars with idrive 7 and BMW assistant you can ask what the oil temperature is and it will tell you.
