I agree with your overall point though. If I had a dollar for everybody who said that they wouldn't buy an E9X or F8X, I would be able to purchase a set of used HRE's. Lol!

Sucks the hood shut line will make a comeback on the production model.. oh well. For those F8x owners thinking their cars will somehow increase in value.... good luck with that lol you might not like the new design language but your F8x Ms will still depreciate just as they are now.

I still think this front end on the G80 sedan body will look pretty sweet. It's no E9x M3 but I'll take it.

All new M cars depreciate, some faster than others. The bigger, the more options and the more expensive the faster they depreciate. This new G80/82 should be right up there with M6s.

I don't even know why there was a debate. It's like arguing if Luke Skywalker felt incestuous about his sister or not. If it was ever revealed, it will be whatever the writer felt like writing. Will the next BMW have a big grill or not? It's whatever BMW will decide to do. All the reasons they argued for not doing so is meaningless, BMW will do whatever they planned to do, these models are YEARS in the making. I like this 100%better than the mockups on here. The lines are way better and the grill shape isn't as bad. Just shrink the grill down to about 70% of what it is there and you've got something.

Those looks are challenging. I was definitely looking to buy next M3 or M4, it’ll handle better than the competition, will have 500 bhp and AWD, things I’m happy with. If it had been a real good looking car (F82 or 8 series are my taste) then easy decision, this design? Not so much.

Darker colors will mask an overdone grille. Since I am inclined to get this car due to 6MT, I would probably get a darker color.
