I dunno, but I do know I enjoy the transmission in my M340 far more than the DCT of my previous F80.

Here’s my predicted review for the new m3/ m4:
*Incredibly fast but sounds mediocre and synthetic *Excellent, well balanced chassis spoiled by lack of steering feel *Tech and interior quality not quite on par with Audi *Soon to be extinct amg v8 engine sounds better as usual *Strange front end styling ruins otherwise clean design *Wait for next gen m2 to see if it’s smaller/ lighter/ better looking I have to admit the Isle of Man green looks tempting though! |

This is exactly what I thought after seeing that stupid new 4 series commercial ... womp womp.
BMW M used to be my ticket for almost 19yrs now and for the first time I'm confident I won't be stepping into the next M. Holding my current M3cs and when I'm over it I'll put it in the garage and find something else for my DD. They're clearly pushing the enthusiasts away, so ok then, see ya ...

This is exactly what I was thinking. And the racing gloves? For what, he was driving calmly around a track. He could have been driving a Cadillac.

One fact why I sold my lovely F82 is the F8x community. Once cars getting cheap and slammed by kids it's time to move for me for something new. With $700 CS leases the F8x got just to affordable... sorry! |

Is yours the steptronic? How does it feel and how is it's responsiveness in manual mode? Was your DCT faster in manual mode? I don't mind the DCT's brutal application because it gives me what gears I want when I want them. I imagine the steptronic to be smoother but slower. What are your thoughts there?

There's going to be a market for an aftermarket carbon fiber struttbrace. And I also see a market, to replace the rear floating single piston calipers. Maybe a custom bracket to match and mount an OEM f serie's double piston caliper.

Also for the People bitching about floating Calipers: Brake development has moved on over the last decade. If it's good enough for an AMG GT-R i'm sure it will be halfway decent for an M3 / M4. |

Idk but some people think M Cars are top of the line! Every M Car (except some as GTS etc.) are just sportier production cars, that's it! You can take the G80 to get a coffee, or something heavy at home depot but also next day to the track. These cars are perfect all-rounder, that's it. I bet 80 percent of all M drivers can't even push their own car to the limit. |

I'm entertained by some of the complaints about him not showing enough excitement.
Hasn't it long been a trope / stereotype of the no-nonsense, calm, stoic, factual German demeanor? |
