Jesus, what a nightmare to get in and out! I thought these will be must have but now I would never order them on a daily.

I am really surprised how difficult it is to get in and out the car. The side bolster is just too high.
Whats your height and weight guys?
I'm 5' 9" and 215 lbs. Lot's of interesting feedback. As I mentioned in my 1st post, I didn't actually drive the car as it was a pre-production PC car. I'll save the carbon fiber buckets when I track a G82 via a BMW driving experience event in Germany once COVID is behind us. Ventilated seats are more important to me living in the south.

I told my wife already that why won't be fun for her at 5'1" to get in and out of. She told me there's needed for how I drive I guess that means she approves

Hopefully there will be a suitable harness solution for these seats in the very near future. This would be terrific for arrive and drive track day folks. I think BMW realized that they dropped the ball on the F80 by not being harness compatible like prior generations.

Let's hope that Schroth is working on a quick fit harness for these seats.

Does anyone else hate the lack of shoulder/head support? I known they're designed so when you wear a helmet the head rest is in the right position, but that's not what you want 99% of the time and a deal breaker for me. I LOVE the way they fit and feel besides that. They would be the best seats ever if they had more shoulder and head support for normal driving. Maybe they could make them adjustable like the seats in the M5 in the future...

If that's not what you want 99% of the time you should probably get the standard seats

But that's not what anyone wants 99% of the time unless they wear a helmet on the street. They should just make it adjustable.

Most people will sit in it for a few minutes and say it comfortable but real world, try sitting in these things for an hour. It won't be fun. Find a way to sit in one for a hour. If you don't complain then get it.

You can't test drive in Los Angeles for an hour so how will you know?

They're pretty adjustable for carbon backed seats, I'm not sure why more they could do?

Exactly. You can't know since you can't test drive it for that long. So it's a gamble. Maybe wait and see reviews of others who bought it.

I tried them for more than an hour, even though i'm a little chubber they were very comfy.
Of course the standards are more comfy, but I didn't feel anything hurting or something and with that knowledge and the unbeatable looks of them they were a no brainer for me.

Well I did get to try them, only briefly... For me as I'm using the car as a daily drive, and my wife often in passenger seat on long cross country UK journeys. Def no.
I'd only need the extra support once or twice a month for Sunday hoons. Rest of time they'd not be needed, so would only be getting them for how they look.
Got over my vanity and finalised order without them. Added in full leather to compensate and now finally happy order is in...
M3c / Iomg / black int / 826m bicolour / full leather / Lasers / red calipers / ext carbon
Ordered the m perf wheel / sill plaques / mats
I'm done

don't know how it is in the UK.
But here in Switzerland the 19/20 wheels cost extra, 2.5k.
If you ordered the Perf wheels wouldn't it make sense to cut out the 826 and go for 824 as no cost instead ?

The 826m in the UK are the standard wheels, no cost. All others are extra...

I think I will bring my wife to the dealership and have her sit in them. Good idea.
