Even if the grille is not as tall it still looks ridiculous. Guess if BMW continues to not listen to their customers they will learn their lesson the hard way, with low sales.

Everyone is going bananas over the grilles. You guys realize this may be the last M3 with a piston engine, yes? Then the damn thing won't even need grilles.

Tail lights will be similar to the new X6's which just debuted. And in line with the iVision Dynamics concept.
They will be a thin line from the middle of the trunk and kink up at the outer edges and near the hips. I really don't know why there is so much speculation, we already know what it will look like, very similar if not almost identical to the iVision Dynmics concept.

I am ready to happily eat crow if the new one is as good/fun to drive as it looks. Wow - it seriously looks like it could be in the 200+K bucket, based solely upon the side profile. It looks like a Ferarri or Lambo. The interior and quality of materials has always been a low point for the Vette - but this new version looks promising on those fronts as well. I can't wait to see one - and for the same money as an M2C? Definitely have to give it a look on that fact alone.

They could make couple laps without going into limp mode. Not saying this will be the same at all but the engineering and quality is just : I love the way it looks but I could never move to GM or Ford etc... Ford is in huge financial trouble because of huge recalls, already cutting 10% staff They are facing one of the biggest lawsuit too because of transmission problems that they were hiding. No thanks for me, I rather drive ugly car the GM or Ford!!!

I would be curious, for example, to see the purchase vs. lease breakdown for the F80/82. From an anecdotal perspective, it appears that many people lease M cars...and BMWs in general, at least in the US. Given that my F80 is covered by warranty for manufacturing defects over the course of my lease...I guess I am not so worried about how well the thing would run in 5, 7, or 10 years. I would apply similar logic to the C8 - surely it couldn't be too bad for a few years. And if it is? Well...then I wouldn't bother with another one. But it is certainly a worthy candidate for me to pop my American car cherry, at least from a looks and value perspective.

Looks like a combination of Toyota Camry in the rear and Alfa Romeo in the front.
Not sure I like it. Had a 330 loaner a week ago. Not loving the interior either (besides the screens which are much nicer). I guess it might grow on me but I doubt it. |

As a track car, this new Vette will destroy the other sub $100k cars (cayman GTS, gt350, ZL1, M2, M3, Alfa QV, etc). You'll have to get a 911S to get close but that's starting at $50k more... however, it does also add a back seat and manual option. I hope this M3 grille looks better than these renderings, has manual option (with full power) and is low 3 seconds off the line and I'll still consider it because an all-rounder is still really appealing to me but if this thing looks too funky it may push me away and my wife may say "uhh no" so it'd be a non-starter lol.

The problem with this is that it doesn't look aggressive. If you make the kidneys normal size, does this scream M3?
I don't think so. They take up so much space that there's less room for aggressive design details. I really hope if they go this route that the kidneys overlap a "mouth" in the front bumper and aren't just pasted on like in the rendering. |

Ummm say what? The overheating issue was specific to the Z06, and only after 3-4 laps on the track.
Speaking of engine issues, BMW had their own share of issues with the N54 turbo pump, S65 rod bearing, etc. JDPower dependability shows BMW and Chevy pretty close and well ahead many "premium" bands (e.g. MB): https://www.jdpower.com/Cars/Ratings.../Manufacturers If you are that closed minded to look beyond a few anecdotal stories or American car stereo-types, then you perhaps do deserve fangled/Lexusified BMWs.
