Anyone got their i4 40 or M50 yet?

Have anyone received delivery of their cars yet or are we still months off from that?

I ordered on the first hour, and yet still "scheduled to be built."

Some of the dealers here in the U.S. have received demo i4s and customers have taken test drives. Ordered cars are on their way from Germany, but I don't think anyone has taken delivery of one yet.

Every dealer I spoke with , and I spoke with quite a few, all agree on one thing, first customer deliveries from the June 2021 preorders will happen in June 2022.

Disclaimer: This is a rumor that is not confirmed, but comes from a legitimate source, I've been told the preorder i4's are going to be basking in the ports for a couple of months before delivered to the dealers in June 2022, unless BMW decides to "release" the vehicles sooner. Do not worry, your cars are going to be properly protected against the elements.

Are they stalled waiting for a software update? That's the only thing I could think of for them to sit cars at port and not deliver them.

It costs the money to have cars taking up space. They have to insure that inventory against damage.

- Edit

My local dealer has one car in inventory and two on the way. These look like the canned demo units and don't have any options. No leather.

Stop sales at VPC/Bremerhaven aren't unheard of.... lots of that on the G8X forums... some orders held for a few months due to issues....exacerbated by the whole supply chain debacle.

No, from what I heard first US customer delivery is scheduled for June. That is also the month when the programs (lease/finance/rebates etc) will come out for i4/iX. That is when BMW wants the release the vehicles to the customers.

We can only speculate the reason for the delay. Prior to June, only demo units will be delivered, no sales until then.

It will be quite interesting to see customers finally receiving their MY2022 i4 after a year of waiting, and few weeks later BMW producing the MY2023 i4.

The incentives better be huge for this to be swallowed in full.

My dealer has one demo that just came in and two others that show in transit.

I've seen this at a couple of dealers in SoCal, one demo unit in stock two more coming. These demo units are not for sale though.

Same. They just got one M50 and one iX. They're not ready to test drive yet.

Nah, they'll just raise the MSRP on the '23 model year. Perhaps by a lot. I've heard there's an inflation problem right now.

Why? The 2023 will be just like the 2022. With one exception I'll have the 50th M badges.

But seriously there won't be any significant changes until there is an LCI.

I'll be driving my car and there will be a wait to get one.

Due to global issues there might be a price increase.

I haven't seen it. They had an iX last week.
I was able to drive that.

lease/finance programs are already out for iX and i4.... and the published lease isn't real good either. I also will be very surprised if any rebates/discounts will be offered simply due to the current demand. I'll be pleasantly surprised and happy if wrong though

Excellent news! Thanks for that. And I hope at minimum they'll do loyalty credit.

You're saying customer deliveries are starting March 19th? Excellent news if that's the case! Let's see who gets theirs on this forum first.
