I never said it was an excuse. So say what you want but they will continue to gain on luxury revenue because of the Chinese market. You can't doubt the Chinese influence, unfortunately.

I wish the production grille had the sharp outline of the concept. It also looks a bit rounder. Too bad about the hood line as it makes the grilles look less integrated and more pasted on.

Both of these cars have aged so well and gracefully (especially that gorgeous white E92), I fear many of the newer designed BMW's aren't going to age well like their predecessors.

I think the e46 and e92 have aged well, but I think the F3x generation looked pretty dated as soon as it came out, especially the F30 and F32 in non-Msport guise.

Regular 4er grille probably gonna look better than the coffins on the M3/4.
Especially with that hood line. And I think the grilles need to overhang a kind of "mouth" like they are in the leaked non-M car to give them more of a sense of depth.

Keep coming back to this to check it with fresh eyes again and fairly convinced this has to be one of the worst, least thought through, half combined, hodgepodge attempt at a front end design. Too many chefs in the kitchen and it shows. Can't design by committee.

Really hope the g80/82 is more refined than this.

I have no problem with the concept of this front end, the overall lines are pretty good. It's the active shutters, license bar, and piss poor position of the CC radar that ruin it for me. This is a design that works in concept only.
