Video in motion / Screen Mirroring
So this may seem a really inane question, what use is VIM or how can it be used. Other than maybe playing a BMW tutorial what else can be played to the sceen. Youtube isnt an option on CarPlay and I cant seem to get screen mirroring to work if a passenger wanted to play from their smartphone
Do these actually work or are they just another ALEXA that just needs the final tick in the box to make it all work?

Utterly insane to have video on the screen when driving even if for the passengers and completely illegal to have video in the driver’s view. That will be why...
Video on my A6 stops as soon as you move as did my F31. |

Yes, it works but not whilst driving for obvious reasons. I have Phoenix Nights on a USB drive for when I'm sat waiting for people during taxi times!!

Ok let me rephrase video whilst parked, is the only video content option from a USB, or does screen mirroring work

Sorry I thought VIM was referring to “in motion”. If stationary then that’s fine but as far as I know it’s only going to play from USB.
Incidentally I did code my F31 to allow VIM thinking Mrs X could watch but was distracting so coded it back. Plus, circumventing a safety function like that could lead one open to prosecution, quite possibly. |

I did mean in motion, but i am asking "what use is it" not i intend to do it.
I was more interested in actually playing back a video on the screen But i think i get the jist, its via a memory stick thanks
