Bought an inexpensive single automatic watch winder from Amazon. Better than I expected for the money.

Only took me years of wasting 100s of nice towels to realize I could have purchased these.

The male fitting on the actual pump the hose fit into. I went to the local hydro shop and got a much high quality replacement for $57. They said they see it all the time. Companies try to mass produce something that shouldn't be. The tolerance is way too tight for any error. New one is so much more buttery smooth than the others.

I still have tickets for Wacken Open Air that I bought in Aug '19 for the 2020 festival. The way things are going in Europe right now I'm starting to hope it gets postponed for another year.

Nashville. This is actually a reschedule of last summers tour since it got canceled. I typically don't buy the ticket insurance, but I sprung for it this time just in case. Looking forward that weekend all the way around. Taking that Friday off, day of the show and since it's Labor Day weekend, I'll have the following Monday off as well.

2019 E450. My first Merc, so far very, very happy with it.

Edit: I tried 5 times to get the interior pic to not be upside down, but no luck.

Sounds like fun. Fingers crossed for ya.
So you got a refund from last year? I had the option to get a refund or hold the tickets over for this year. I also paid in advance for my accommodation which is called the "Moshtel". It's essentially one half of a 20' seacan (two separate 10ft rooms with a door and a window, a cot and a sleeping bag, a folding table and two chairs ). It's the single most expensive "hotel" room I've ever stayed in. It's about 1000eros for three nights. No toilet, no running water but you do get an outlet for charging phones etc.

I actually didn't spring for tickets last year, so this worked out great for me. This is one of the bands that has been on my bucket list for years. They played about an hour from me year before last, but it was a 3 day festival. I'm 44 and a homeowner, festivals don't sound fun to me in the least anymore. I enjoy a good show, but I expect heat/AC and a soft comfy bed after.

Picked up a new bike for my wife. It’s been 18yrs since she rode, so starting out slow.
It’s actually a pretty fun little machine.

Is that a 310? I was just looking at one the other just for a work commuter but then after looking at the 850's....all those creature comforts sound nice haha

Nice bike!!!

I had to retire my old multimeter. After at least 25 years of faithful service it is finally showing its age. Out of the blue it started giving random and impossible readings. I immediately thought battery since I couldn't remember the last time I'd changed it. Nope, new battery didn't help. No obvious signs of any components letting the smoke out so it's time for a new one. Meet my new Klein MM400 ($65CAD at Home Depot). It came with a thermocouple too. Don't know that I'll ever have a use for that but hey, I got it if I need it. I hope it gives me the same service as the old Mastercraft did. If so it will likely be the last one I'll ever need.

Have you tried the new meter's test leads on the old one yet?

My trusty 1980's Radio Shack digital meter occasionally has strange readings until I rotate the banana plugs in the sockets to clean out the oxidation. I also had to change out the test leads at one point, because one of them had some sort of loose connection near the probe end that would occasionally go wonky.

Funny thing is that I still reach past my Fluke on the workbench for the Radio Shack meter...because it cost me more in the 1980's than the Fluke did in current times.....
