Any way to brighten reverse camera? It's super dim for my 2023 model

Got my brand new 2023 330ixDrive and the one glaring issue is how dark my rear camera is when backing up/out. Is there any way to brighten the screen? I searched a good while in the settings menu but wasn't able to find anything. If not, what could be the technical issue I wonder?

Edit: Meant to add the fact that this is an issue at night

I have a 2022, and it sucks at night... I have the brightness turned all the way up and it blows...

I'm subbing for answers also...

I presume you mean at night?

One of the very few things that is genuinely poor about the G20 is the absolutely useless reversing lights. I think that's the main issue, rather than a problem with the screen, as if I'm reversing when I'm in a brightly lit area at night it's not a problem.

I don't think there's a fix, unless you want to fit auxiliary reversing lights ...

Perhaps it depends on year and model. My reverse light/camera is decent even in areas that are not so well lit. I haven’t had any problems so far. Having 360 camera probably also helps.

Yes. At night (my bad). So frustrating!

It's a 2023 model. Regrettably the lease I just turned in was a 2020 and had no problems with it.

Mine is a 2023 LCI and it’s pretty bad as well.

Seems like a flaw.

Maybe bring it to the dealer? Sounds like a safety hazard.

The cameras in both my '22s are great. No issues at all.

Do you have a white car, the bumper may be causing the issue put some electrical tape over part of the lense to cover up the bumper and it will look better at night.

I’ll wait until it starts getting dark early. The dealers around me if they can’t recreate an issue on demand will just brush it off.

That’s interesting, I know things like a white wall are issues for security cameras at night. Didn’t realize that might be an issue for car back up camera.
Is your suggestion a result of personal experience?

Daytime now, but I put a piece of electrical tape on mine to cover the bumper in the view (Oxide Grey, so close to white) to see if it helps.

Told my SA about it on Monday, he has a M340 also and says his is dime, he did not know of a real fix. If I'm out tonight when its dark I will report back and see if it helped.

Same here. Surprised there is no brightness control or ISO control for the backup camera!

Sorry to say but from personal experience 2020, 2021 and 2023 all suck the same.
Wife's Audi and kids Subaru are much brighter in the dark, you can drive backwards at night, no problem.
