Failed to get 60mpg

Hi all,

320i LCI owner here. Went on a longish run yesterday (80% motorways) and tried quite hard to maximise fuel consumption. Result was 58mpg. If the weather had been a bit warmer and with less traffic and no overtaking tractors, I am confident I could have got over 60 mpg. Not bad for a 1.6 tonne petrol G20! Worked out to be circa 650 mile range on one tank. Happy with that

Get up mega early one Sunday morning, start on the M4 in South Wales, do a full loop round the M25 and then back on the M4 to South Wales and you should crack it.

let me know how you get on.

I'd put up with single-figure consumption to avoid South Wales.

Truly impressive. Maybe I'm misunderstanding some the data but doesn't the 39.5 miles figure represent the distance covered without consuming fuel. If the 320i doesn't have MHT, how does that work?

Yes I think the 39.5 mile figure is the coasting distance, 320i not MHT as you say but still counts up the miles every time you take your foot off the gas. Don’t really take notice of this figure to be honest.
