Folding Mirrors don't fold back equally
Looking out of my upstairs window I can see that the passenger mirror folds back further and flatter to the window than the driver's door mirror.
The driver's door mirror looks like it folds a reasonable amount and doesn't appear faulty, just doesn't fold as flat as the passenger side. Has anyone else noticed this? |

thanks Tam (second time today) and Burrcold. It feels so much better knowing there isn't any problem

It did bug me and my OCD at the time I bought the car but I soon stopped noticing it... seems odd and I can't understand why they should fold at differing degrees! |

Google it and you'll find that lots of brands are like this....Audi, BMW, MB, etc. Nobody seems to have a solid answer why, but it can't be coincidence lol

Yeah that's always bugged me too, it's even more pronounced with the M style mirror caps.

Yup. My audis are the same too. Apparently it’s because of different viewing angles from the driver’s seat. If that makes sense.

I'm surprised users have not realised the driver and passenger mirrors are totally different in how they fold and also how they sit when open. |

I've questioned this before too. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed it. Thought mines wasn't functioning right till I took a closer look and realized that the plastic raised at the end would prevent it from closing in further on the driver side, meaning it's made this way. Still bothers me that its not the same on both sides.
