Definitely not impressed, but the rendering was pretty spot on.

EVERYONE on Instagram I follow (<25) is panning it. I haven’t seen any positive comments about the appearance from anyone my age. I think people 50+ might like it though.

I've always been day 1 with the G80 but that astronomous grille is a bit too big. Reserve final judgement when the official unveiling.

Well, I'm one of the few in the minority and I'm sure I'll get hammered for saying this, but I actually like the way it looks. It appears to be pretty similar to the renderings we saw a few months ago.

The M3 Coupe changeover to M4 was also controversial with I will buy M3 badges and re-badge it. And I never seen that outcome so I presume they left it as the M4?. I can name numerous examples of other BMW models that have felt the wrath of a forum.

But what we are overlooking here is that the focus is on the grille which is really revealed in a poorly shot photograph where not everything is entirely revealed.
I suggest you wait until the official photographs drop soon therefore you can finally make an impression when you see it in high definition. And of course like M2 CS the car will be going on the road so some of you might receive an invite to one of the closed rooms.

As I explained so far all you have seen is a car on a production line hidden behind a pillar and renders.
I guarantee that when you see it officially some will come round to the new interpretation of The BMW M3 but you need to see it first.
Well, since this leaked photo is the subject matter of this thread that is all we can comment on. Hard to comment on an unseen photo.

Bullocks, as soon as y'all see the performance you guys will buy it and besides this forum is only a tiny sample of M3 buyers.

I think the new front end looks great, just as it did on the 4 series concept. As with any significant change in design, such as the original giant Audi shields, people flip out over it, then get used to it.

Frankly, I thought BMW’s front end styling had gotten stale and I appreciate this bold change.

The official YTD BMW passenger cars' sales numbers speak for themselves:

YTD Sept 2019 - 122,409
YTD Sept 2018 - 144,204

Even the best selling BMW model which is considered a benchmark in the industry, the 3-series, experienced a decline in sales, -5.5% to be exact.

Hopefully these leaked images are not of the new production model M3, if indeed they are the lead exterior designers at BMW should go back to the drawing board before it is too late.
