Is there a way to get rid of the Tire Pressure Warning

I'm getting the check tire pressure warning with the pressure on my tires being a few PSI below what BMW recommends.

Is there a way to stop this warning from popping up every time I start my car? I'm pretty sure that this is due to changes in temperatures where I live right now. I'm going to put some more air in in the next few days but would like to know for future reference.

Shouldn’t happen. Try resetting.

Definitely try a reset. Adjust the pressure of the tires to the recommended amount when they're still cold, then reset it and drive around. Hopefully that fixes it.

Like the others say, check the pressure.
The car should compensate for the temperature and not complain even in cold weather. It's not faultless, I normally get that warning once or twice during the winter, but not more often than that.

Mine does the same over here in Germany. We have some wicked temp swings from morning to afternoon lately. The BMW recommended pressures swing with temps as well, so EVERY time I get in my car, I get the message. I've aired up to recommended, done the reset, etc, but the warning inevitably returns. So annoying.

Is your tire size setting set to the right tires on the rear axle? The automatic setting might be throwing it off, I manually changed mine and I haven’t had this issue since

Yeh when the ambient temps drop , the tyre pressure will drop which is probably what has caused the alerts. Pump the tyres up to the recommended pressure in the idrive

Suggest assigning a shortcut key to this so you can keep an eye on this as this will ensure that the tyres will wear evenly. Runflat tyres unfortunately mask under inflated tyres which will mean you’ll end up wearing the outsides of the tyre

I would check your pressure every journey and particular should there be Any significant change in ambient temperature either up or down

Changes in altitude can affect it as well...if your driving across a mountain range.

"Runflat tyres unfortunately mask under inflated tyres which will mean you’ll end up wearing the outsides of the tyre"............ had not considered this. An interesting and important observation.

Thanks.................. Frank
