Is There Selectable ID8 Nav. Day/Night Mode; Is There a Route List?

I am asking about a 2024 M440 with ID8. The navigation display switches from day to night automatically. On ID7 it is selectable Day;Night;Automatic. I can't figure out how to do that on ID8.

On ID7 I can view a turn-by-turn navigation route list. I can't find out how to do that on ID8.

Any help is appreciated or at least confirmation that it can't be done.

This is one of the biggest reasons why people don't use the awful BMW navigation and instead use Google Maps and CarPlay. The big white map is an eyesore, doesn't match the vibe of the car, and is a big distraction.

I tried the BMW Nav on my ID8 and about 10 minutes into the drive, switched over to Google Maps/CarPlay. I do dislike that my phone gets pretty warm due to CarPlay but that might just be my phone.

Thanks for the feedback. It appears that the lack of these functions is a BMW "oversite."

BMW isn't in the navigation space. So like any other car manufacturer who refuses to just give way for iPhone apps and comes out with their own proprietary system, they suck at it.

My friend owned a Tesla for the last 3 years and couldn't wait to get rid of it as it had no CarPlay.

I've owned BMW's going back 20 years and haven't used BMW navigation at all. It's a dinosaur.
