What tool do you use for battery registration?

About a year ago, replaced the battery in my car and used the 7910 to register. It said battery registered successfully, but I noticed it didn't update the odometer reading in the tool. The other night, I started to wonder if it actually registered the battery if the mileage wasn't updated. Any thoughts on this? What tool do you use to register the battery?
