Sounds like generic scheduling at this point. Talked to my CA yesterday and she said in her system the port hadn’t done any of the 3 or so steps in their process with vehicles, and the same carrier info as everyone else at Newark so far: depart 5/12, arrive dealer 5/13. I’m waiting to hear back from her today as she said if my car didn’t start showing moving through the process she would get her sales manager on the case.

I’m hoping the carrier doesn’t take a full day for mine if that’s accurate. My dealer is 90 minutes from the port but who knows what routes these trucks take.

That's interesting, keep us posted! Hopefully they do arrive on the 13th for us...But also strange how we're in different areas and it's the same arrival date for all of us.

So I got an email back from my CA. Zero activity on my car thus far at the port, but yet another customer 5 series from Germany that apparently arrived in Newark immediately before Glovis Clipper showed up at the dealer this morning (and that customer isn’t taking delivery for a couple weeks). Sales manager has emailed the port to hopefully get some activity going as my current lease expires on Monday.

I did some searching and it looks like there were 2309 BMWs delivered to the port between 5/3 and 5/5 with the Glovis Clipper being the last ship. I would expect it to take about a week to get to the Glovis Clipper cars, if they can process 250-300 cars a day, and about 2 1/2 days to get through those on our ship. Hopefully your car will be one of the earlier ones and they can get yours delivered before the lease expires. I know the wait is tough but it should not be too much longer.

Wow, where did you find that info? But that's interesting to know! For some reason, I feel iffy about the cars being delivered to the dealerships by Thursday (as they are saying as of now). I just really hope they are and we can pick up by Fri/Sat. The wait has been so brutal lol. If anyone else has updates, please do let me know!

I looked at what ships docked at the BMW berth, 1419, for the period 4/30 to 5/5 and then I looked up the manifests of each ship on importinfo.com to see how many BMWs were delivered at the port of Newark.

I actually did wind up getting another email from my CA with the reply from the port and they also mentioned the over 2000 vehicles arriving. They claim my car will be processed by tomorrow (5/12) and it’s not supposed to take more than a day, so hopefully it can get assigned to carrier tomorrow or Thursday.

For everyone else on Glovis Clipper it at least looks like they’re going through ours now.

Thanks for that info! Wait, so were you also on the Glovis Clipper that just arrived last week to port Newark?

Yep, I’ve got a Portimao Blue M340 up there somewhere. I was one of the ones completed production 3/29.

Amazing how many of us wound up on that ship.

I called Genius today and apparently my delivery got pushed up the 05/15 now from 05/13 lol. But at the same time they also said my car was assigned to a carrier today.

Got word from my CA my car is completed processing as well. No estimated dealer date, but she was telling me she had a customer 5 series finish processing this past Monday and showed up the next day (originally was estimated Thursday). So here’s hoping they’re overly conservative in their estimates.

As long as my car shows up not super late Friday I’ll be able to get it Monday morning before I’m off to work.

No one really ever knows for sure, but the most recent ship with BMWs from Veracruz dropped a bunch of them in Galveston where BMW have a VDC.

My bet would be it'll be on a ship

Cool, thanks for sharing. REALLY hoping our calls are at the dealership by this Saturday the latest! This wait has been crazyyy lol. It's also funny how some Genius customer care reps barely give you any detail, while others give you the whole 9 yards.

Yeah anywhere from hanging up when I’m hold to a ten minute conversation about the finer points of the vehicle as well as how they load and unload the ship

Wow, that was fast. My order was on 4/30 and won't be starting production till like the beginning of June (week 22). Didn't think to shop around for an earlier production week. They'll probably be all out of parts by the time they get to June, lol.

Lol, yeah. Genius told me today car has been assigned to carrier and apparently even released from VPC. Delivery date is 5/15 so idk how the whole trucking stuff works. Maybe it'll come early.

I shopped around for a broker with an open build slot, so there wasn't much delay.
