It blows my mind it's hard these days to be location to a specific dealership. I would think they would note this customer knows lease calculations. It's laughable how repeat dealers be trying this foolishness

Agree. If you're working with a high knowledge buyer, I don't understand trying to play some of these games.

Anyone know a dealer in California that will deal on an ordered car? I keep getting lease quotes in the 8-900 range.
These dealers keep sending me the dumbed down quote that doesn't give any specifics even when I ask about the money factor and MSDs. |

For sure. Though you'd never know it in my driveway, out of 5 cars, there is 1 SUV (my kids all dislike SUVs, so they all drive cars (actually, my boys drive wagons, so insert my great dislike that the M340i Touring didn't make it here) So the only SUV here is my Wife's.

Agree but it is what it is. That's why people in Europe mostly drive 420d and 430i.

IAC seems to be your best bet https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/iac-n...eyond/199474/5 Leasing in Texas is rough due to the tax situation. You'll have to weigh your options.

Looking to lease a 2021 m340i
Hello all,
I am new to the forum and this is my first time leasing, but I have done some research. I live in San Diego, but have been talking to a couple of dealers in LA as it just seems they can do better with their pricing. The first dealership, the msrp for the car is 60,695$. This car is 95% what I want. I can't really get the exact sales price for the car, but I know the MF is 0.00083, the residual is 57% on a 12k/36. The options presented to me are 5000$ DAS, payments at 549$/month all in, or 2500$ DAS, 2400$ MSD, and 597$/month. Mathematically, it looks like the 2nd pricing option is better. However, the salesperson is very off-putting and curt. When originally they gave me the 5000$ down I was okay with it, because the monthly looked nice and pretty, but after doing more research, people are saying this DAS is way too high for a lease. When I asked for a 2nd option with MSD, they were very reluctant, but ended up giving me that option, and essentially didn't really care to deal with me anymore (haven't heard from them since, no follow up no nothing). This is when I started reaching out to another dealer in LA. This car I am looking is is 85% what I want. The MSRP is 59,095, so a bit cheaper. I kinda gave him a summary at what was happening at the first dealer, and he promised he could aggressively beat that pricing with the 2500$ DAS. Only problem is he refused to give me the final numbers until I was willing to go into the dealership. So yeah, really not sure what to do here. This whole experience has been very off putting, and I can't believe we still buy cars like this. I am not really sure what the best option is now. Any input would be great here. And before I get the criticism, I know I can probably handle the situation better when dealing with the dealers, but the way they flat out refuse to give you the selling price or anything beforehand, just makes everything so shady. I can kind of guess what it is after they give me bits and pieces of info like the MF, and residual, but I have no clue what types of incentives they are using or keeping for themselves. Anways, thanks for any input. |
