Jack stand under axle?
I just blew a tire out and don't have RFTs, so I need to take the single wheel to get it replaced. I obviously don't want to leave the car sitting on just the jack. Is it fine to put a jack stand underneath the axle of this car?

It's the rear right. The car is in a parking lot, which is relatively flat, but it will be on an emergency jack next to other cars for several hours. I don't trust the emergency jack for that long, so I'd like the jack stand there for redundancy. I'm not sure where under the axle I can safely place it.

Because I don't have anything available other than an emergency jack.
Edit: Found a point on the rear control arm that isn't covered by any plastic. Last edited by milkmotel; 04-01-2024 at 10:07 PM.. |
