LCI Questions

Afternoon all,
I have changed my 329D 2020 to 320i ( as I now only do local mileage) and have a couple if questions:
1- Speed Limit Warning. I has set Mt speed limit warning set to 30, 40 in prvious car (iDrive7) but now want ro set it yo 20 and 30 as they have introduced 20mph. Is there a way to delete the previous setting and reset the new limits, I can see it allows to change the first Limit but nothing after that.

2- in iDrive 7, I gad honestly screen set to aposs/ tiles I wanted and it stayed there unless I scrolled away. On iDrive 8, I set the tiles on order and appearance I want and everyhime I get into the car next time, it changes and has the xar tile on the right (UK). Is there a way to lock the setting and for it to stay there unless I scroll?

TIA

Point 1: I’ve never seen more than a single speed limit setting, wasn’t aware you could store more than 1? Either way, it’s in the driver assistance menu.

Point 2: Are you logged in as a user, everything should save to your profile. Do you have a picture of the issue as an example? This way we can all understand the issue a bit clearer.

P.S. Not all members live on here, so you need to allow for a delay in replies.

See if this helps at all re ID8

I can’t check for you sadly as I don’t have one currently and I can’t remember ever using this. As for the tiles I’d have to go from memory, but some really good helpful guys here will hopefully be able to answer.

Manual says do this for the speed limit setting:

Setting the speed
1. Apps menu
2. "Vehicle"
3. "Driving settings"
4. "Driver assistance"
5. "Safety and warnings"
6. "Speed warning"
7. "Warning above:"
8. Select the desired setting.

Like Funboy not sure what you mean in point 2: I can say that on mine the different tiles do seem to stay in the order I’ve set them up unless I move them myself.

Thank you all for helpful replies I started having other issues that were not fixed by iDrive hard reset so did a factory reset. A pain as had to re enter all settings but everything works fine now.
