That's pretty awesome! X3M owners have a sneak peak into this new power plant!

The G82 M4 has been spied out testing at the Nurburgring, giving us a first look at its interior (we've previously shown you the G80 M3 interior). Seen here in the M4 are the standard seats and manual transmission, but we've also included a couple of photos from the G80 M3 showing both standard seats and optional carbon fiber bucket seats.

Also, we get a peek at the Toronto Red paint color beneath the camouflage.

I see that they've changed pedals slightly too. They are not all rubber anymore.

Great to see the manual, although that center console is most definitely an afterthought in design.

SCOTT26 Can you shed any light on weather the UK market will be getting rear wheel drive and most importantly MANUAL gearbox?

Yeap, it sure is. But I hope they really worked on the transmission it self rather than carry over from f80

They really got a lot of inspiration from the E46 generation.
Not to mentioned the headlight style (2 kinks), the distance between the twin pipes also got narrower
Like it so far

Don't mind the interior at all and love the 6MT!

Honestly if the front was changed to something good looking instead of this hideous crap, I would have waited and ordered this car no questions asked.

I hope they do something interesting with the 4 series door cards similar to the i4 which is why it's completely covered up.

The seats look like they will be fantastic . . . once in them.

The problem I anticipate from the photos is actually getting into them. The lower side wing is enormous and the space between the lower and upper side wings is almost non-existent.

So, one option is to jump into the seat - over the lower side wing - which is not advised. 90 degree entry, which is typical for sport seats, really does not look feasible given the nearly non-existent space between the lower and upper side wings.

In summary, the seats are fantastic looking, appear very functional in terms of comfort and stability . . . but a royal pain in the ass to get into.

In addition to entry/exit difficulty, I would not be surprised if an early complaint by owners is breakdown of the lower side wing leather/upholstery due to entry and exist stress.

Observation and suggestion based on 'spy photos' acknowledged as hardly being facts.

I know we're busy with COVID and all that but... legislation needs to be put in place to ban glossy black plastic from cars.

Absolutely. BMW leather is garbage so it will absolutely disintegrate from owners who get into their seats in a traditional manner. Since most M cars are used to get groceries, this will be an important consideration. I suspect those seats will be optional.

It looks like prototypes are tested with fender vents / breathers covered over by the camo. Could this be indicative of fake vents in production?

Almost 100% confirmed for a PURE model I'd say.
