I agree. Reach out to BMW Canada. Send them a nicely worded mail but make sure they know you aren't going to give up easily. Tell them what the dealership said too. Hopefully they'll have a solution soon!

Contacted BMW Canada, explaining the issue, and that I took it to and independent mechanic saying it was too high and I booked an appointment with Pfaff BMW in hopes to get things rectified, if not, please don't get discouraged for wanting to get out of this lease.

Pfaff reported that they fixed the issue, and ride height is to spec. I measured, and it’s still not to spec, maybe a half-inch lower but not to spec. I saw another m340i with the same wheels as mine, measured, and it came to 14.5, mine was at 15.2. I told the SA I'll just let BMW Canada know, and then he said before I do that, come back after Thanksgiving and talk to the foreman. What, so they can feed me more BS?
I also indicated that I had moisture in the headlight and rattling in the exhaust flap, and all they could say is that they found no moisture, and the noise is the flap was normal, and all M3's make the same noise.
The Independent mechanic said the exhaust has to be replaced, and there is no other fix, and moisture in the headlight is a severe problem.

All these dealers are full of shit man. why they hell won't they just fix the issues. It's under warranty, I dont get it.

That really sucks. 15.2-15.5 is the spec for a 330i xDrive with the base suspension (perhaps they're looking at the wrong specs?).

Yes, that would be what the newTIS.info states and your measurements appear to be consistent with mine. FYI, the link I posted is for the M340i xDrive.

Consistant with yours? Do you work for BMW? Sounds like a load of bs they've all been feeding me. The numbers are so off, you may have thought im driving a base 330i, but my car is fact an m340i. Thanks for the spec sheets, that are no longer available to the public.

I know this thread is ancient, but I just discovered my M340i with 7,000 miles on it had all the shipping blocks in place... Sigh. You'd think a simple checklist could avoid this.

Apologies for the delay in seeing your post. I have a picture of something that appears to be similar to what you have in your picture. Could it be a shipping block that is still under the boot after 37,000km? If so, I would be very concerned. How did you manage to remove it?

Those are your bump stops. Don't remove them.

I have an M440i so I can't give you measurements to compare to. But looking at your distance between the tire and the spring cup might indicate that the wrong parts have been mounted. I don't know of any pictures on M340 with standard tires but this post (linked below) shows a tire that (from nominal size) should have about 8mm larger radius. So assuming you have a standard size (e.g. 225/40-19) I would expect to see about 8mm more clearance in your picture. It looks more, doesn't it?

Thank you for sharing the picture. I appreciate your concern and the comparison you've provided. After carefully examining the picture, it's evident that there is a significant difference in the positioning of the wheel cup compared to my own vehicle.

I believe there may be an issue with the installation or alignment of the wheel cup, which is a cause for concern. I plan to address this matter again with my dealership to ensure that everything is properly aligned and in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
