[M340i Pride]

I know you might call me a wimp for being overwhelmed, but HOLY COW I was blown away again.

So just so that there is no misunderstanding, I had some FAST cars before: Kia stinger gt2 right before, a SUPER CHARGED 670hp C6 vette before that. that was a monster, and i was afraid to push that thing too much. A legit 10.5 sec car.

I just got to 475 mile so I thought I'll finally start pushing my car a bit. Nothing crazy. I haven't really pushed the Sport plus mode yet so I did that on a early morning, mostly empty so cal fwy today.

Once again, please bear in mind that I've driven fast cars before. All I did was about 50% throttle on the sport plus as I was cruising gently at 60mph and next thing I know, XXX! (lol)

Hut damn.

And it was so planted. I thought my stinger was planted. It was just another level. I know a point where stinger is starting to feel a bit at the limit. It was roughly 10+ on top of that and the M340i was PLANTED. Smiles.

I know that there are monster tuned m340i in this forum with a lots of upgrade and you might laugh at me haha but oh man.... It is SO POWERFUL OUT OF THE BOX. And it was still pulling so easily even at that unspecified speed (hehe), and I never put more than 50%, more likely less.

So I have to go back to my statement on my intro thread. I said Stinger GT2 was like a good college running back, while the M340i is playing in NFL.

No.

Stinger GT2 is a good HIGH SCHOOL running back.

M340i is starting in the back field in the NFL today.

The gap just widened.

Awesome write up! I tried Sport Plus the day I got it in March and was intimidated at losing DSC. I used Sport Individual since to give me all the rest of it without the traction changes. Next summer, I'm going to give it a proper shot again!

New to the car, does Sport Plus put the car in MDM or DSC off? I've been using Sport Individual and setting the engine to "Sport Plus," steering to "Comfort," and transmission to "Sport." My favorite so far, haven't tried the factory Sport Plus yet but will give it a try on the drive home today.

Not in the G20. In the F30 it used to turn DSC off. In the G20, DSC is on but it changes the throttle mapping. Also holds onto gears for longer.

Got a tune on my Z4 M40i and it weighs way less than M340i. Boy is it fast. Way faster then my C7 corvette. I can toast most cars on the road.

Which tune did you get? How much additional hp tq and performance do you think it added? If it is that much faster than c7 then you'll be on a top end of a food chain lol!!
