Help! BMW 330i lighting
Hello
I just leased 2020 330i that comes with the convenience package, life cockpit pro option, heated seats, and adaptive LED headlights. Very happy with the car, but I noticed at night the interior foot wells do not have any light! Is that possible? Yes I do not have the ambient lighting package but I expected lights to be available in the foot wells for the passenger and the driver but they are completely black! Is this accurate or do I need to press on some button? Thank you. |

My car has ambient lighting and the foot wells are lit. I have a feeling cars without ambient lighting might not have foot well lights but I'm not sure.

I can confirm that without the ambient lighting the footwells are not lit. I was annoyed by this as well. There is basically no interior lighting except for the small overhead light.

Is there anyway to program them some how to emit the orange amber light while driving? Have you though of tried to buy anything that would allow us to have footwell lighting at night? Seems odd that F30 design from 2013 would have them but not G20 2019 design! |

No, I haven't tried to find a way of programming the lights. But It wouldn't surprise me if there was an option in Bimmercode. I am not very experienced with coding these cars. But I'm sure someone might be able to offer more insight. Also, it is odd that this option would not be available as standard like it was on the F30's. But I'm assuming for economic reasons they wanted to be able to up charge for it.
