Oh are you saying I need to go to LCI color profiles and actually change the hex values for the 6 preset colors? For example, it looks like you want me to change 90E090 (the green color) to FF0000 which would make the green (04) to the new red color? I haven't played around with this in esys for a while but I think this is what you are saying.

360A value start with 01,1A.... end with FF,FF

you can find 90E090, inside it

If it is, you can turn off from MGU.
Im talking about the 3 little orange led's, they act as a sidemarker on the US headlights. There is a way to disable them but im not sure how to go about it.

So, looking at ColorLibraryData in 360A, I changed the values 90, E0, 90 to FF, 00, 00 and this changed all white to the new red color. What doesn't make sense is the hex 90E090 is for the green color and not white? Do you have any idea how all these HEX Values relate to what is used as 00,01,02 etc in ColorProfiles?

I dont know why do they match up white with 90 E0 90, actually its light green.
90 E0 90 is 00.

Check out my previous post.

From my screenshot, there are literally over 40 different color hex codes (xx,xx,xx). Like i said I replaced 90,E0,90 with FF,00,00 and it changed all the white to the new red color. 90,E0,90 should be the green color.

It'll probably take a few hours but I could go thru trial and error one at a time and figure out which ones changes which color?

Okay, so I went thru all of the hex color codes in 360A>LIC_LCI_COLOR_LIBRARY_DATA and found all 6 colors that are in Idrive (white, bronze, orange, blue, green and lilac). Here are the following hex codes you need to find and you can change to any custom color you would like...this will change the actual color of the lighting but will not change the name in idrive.

- 90,E0,90 - WHITE
- D7,6E,14 - BRONZE
- 93,1A,01 - ORANGE
- 00,20FE - BLUE
- 10,FE,32 - GREEN
- 78,3C,FE - LILAC

You can then go to 360D and change the values there to mix and match the trim color and lower colors.

Unfortunately, changing the base color to a custom color, the reading lights above stay the same color as the idrive color selected. I can't seem to figure out how to change those lights. jaimeen77 any thoughts on how to change the reading lights to custom color?

Great you found out every puzzle

unfortunatly, It is not possible to change MGU colours, ( G30 - S15A also can't change it as well )

I'm not talking about changing the color in MGU, I'm talking about changing the overhead reading light color that changes color with the ambient lights. For example, I have replaced bronze with my new dark red color. When I select my new color, the entire car ambient lights are red except for the small overhead reading light that remains bronze.

Ah, I see.

There two layers,
for example if You choose bronze / white then light above will be white.
So if you change white to red then it goes red.

It works like that on my car.

Or 360A has 3 of bronze: D7,6E,14 , I have changed all. <- did you?

You guys are awesome! Giving this a go and figuring it out now.

Still nothing on disabling the amber sidemarkers though, huh? Crazy penguin has a thread with some tidbits but doesn't explain the whole thing so I'm stumped. From what I can gather, you have to change something in the FLM module to ECE to make the headlights run like in Europe. No sidemarkers but no clue where this is. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Attach FLM CAFD, Let me check out difference between yours and mine.
(I dont have side markers on my car, so it must be disabled.)

Or I will send you flm cafd

So it's important to note that when searching for the hex values that i posted above, you need to count in groups of 6 (I,e, xx,xx,xx) starting from the beginning. There should only be one D7,6E,14 if counting in groups of 6 from the very beginning of the values.

There is another thread another member made where he said he changed the car code from 5U93 to 5U91 (USA to Europe) and it took off the sidemarkers. It was a week or so ago, i just PM'ed him to make sure he hasnt had any problems since then but that looks like a solution.

I wonder if that also changed the way the rear tail lights function. As in if the turn signals are now separated from the brake lights. It is a US thing and I would love to have my tail lights function like the ROW cars do.

It involves FDL coding BDC. I'm still trying to figure out exactly which parameters were changed.

TTG & greekcs ,

I sincerely hope that someone comes up with a way for rear turn signals & tail lights to light up like our European friends have on their cars, including amber turn signals.

One concern I have in coding 5U93 to 5U91 (USA to Europe) in the Vehicle Order and VO coding select modules is quite simply what else changes when the is recorded from US to Europe

Don't get me wrong I really would like amber rear turn lights

For what it's worth!

Please, please keep us posted. I have been messing with my car and Bimmer code for months now to be able to exactly accomplish that.

I was able to get pretty much everything to work but constantly getting hyper-flashing.

I am pretty sure that I mainly need the values in LicVersionData files and along with who knows what else.

Big Thank You (in advance)
