Smoke coming out of left pipe only

Hi all, it seems that there’s only smoke coming out of the left side of the car. Nothing from the right. I checked to see if anything is blocking it there isn’t. Any idea for a fix? Thank you. Name: 722F1645-D4DA-4614-9FA3-23E4F8DD14D2.jpg

It's normal until cars reaches "normal operating" temperature

The flap on the passenger side is closed. That’s why. It’s normal.

It is closed in comfort mode. If you put it in sport it will eventually open up once it is warmed up. At least on the F30. Maybe it just needs to be warmed up in comfort for it to open on G20. Its to allow the cats to come up to temp more quickly to meet emissions regs. It will also sound louder and more aggressive.

Thank you all for the responses. I tested it out and put it in sport plus and smoke came out from both. But in eco or comfort only the left side. I thought it had something to do with my downpipes. So I’m guessing it’s normal due to the replies. I’m curious as to know if you guys with a g20 experience the same thing?

You can open the valve permanently with a small mod.

See this thread.

I believe if you rev it past 4K in comfort it also opens temporarily. Makes for a nice sounding exhaust note when it growls and barks as it revs past 4K but then closes below it, which eliminates drone that can happen in sport mode. Sometimes I drive like this with stick to the left so it revs past 4K more often on accelerating from a standing start or rolling start, or you can shift manually.

It might be very loud on cold start if you do this. On a side note if you go into sport after it warms up and it is open it will close if you go into comfort at low rpm. If you put it back in sport it will stay closed until you tap or press on the throttle so you won't get the better sounding sport mode idle until you do this. At least it does this on F30.
