Is this M550 style grill available for the M340?

There's a black version that's similar with the vertical slats. Nothing in cerium grey though.

Yea, I've seen the black as well. Would like to see how this cerium grey style would look on the M340.

I would go against cerium gray. Water stains are always prominent and the copper shade is very tacky in my opinion, and annoying to clean. A chromed or shadow-line trim is much more appealing than the cerium accents BMW is throwing on everything.

Totally agree. I swapped all of mine out with the shadow line gloss black parts. The grey is a bitch to keep looking nice. You've got to wipe those pieces down ASAP after a wash.

+2 Newer isn't always better, e.g., the Bugs Bunny grills.

Appreciate the input. Unfortunately, I don't prefer shadow line or chrome, and thankfully, I wipe my car down after a wash.

I'm sure like most, when I wash my girl she gets wiped down immediately. Those grey trim pieces just look terrible no matter what. Get a bit of rain, gotta wipe em quick or water stains. Oops, kids dirty little hands just touched the grey mirror caps. Better wipe it toot suite!

I wipe my a$$ enough, don't want to have wipe down those grey pieces all the time too. I'm not the karate kid. Wax on wax off lol 😀 So, I swapped everything out to shadow line / carbon fiber. Much much happier now.

Carbon does look nice. I don't mind the grey trim on the Portimao blue, however, I'm not a big fan of the mesh. Really just want to see how that M550 style grill looks on the M340.

I couldn't get used to the stock grill and went with this. Looks much, much better I think.

You and me both, I don't mind the grey either. Really depends on the color of your car IMO. To me, something about the black grill doesn't always look quite right.

I find it to be mote bronze/copper looking than gray in real life. Either way, the problem isn't the color, but rather the finish which is matte and stains easily and is a pain to wash.

Fair criticism. My car stays pretty clean though, never much of an issue.

Cerium looks best on dark cars in my experience. IMHO, it enhances the classy aspect on those in exchange for losing the sharp body lines that pop very nice with a solid black/carbon contrast. I plan to eventually wrap or replace the cerium mirror caps with black or carbon and leave the grille alone. Undecided about the front vents. I can suffer a bit to maintain the grille
