Odd timing on the review, but I'll take it.

Wow that was very positive! Gauges seemed to be the only negative (which I would agree with).

Sorry, but hated the flare. The car is phenomenal, why try to spruce it up with all the fluff? Sounded more like an ad for a Gucci handbag.

sounds like they liked it. I say this all the time but I am always so impressed when I drive these, they are rockets. BMW did a great job on these. Glad to see others agree

Good car but BMW really should ditch that cerium grey bullshit...also the standard chrome shit. Just make the black trim standard and chrome optional for ppl who love chrome (doubt there will be many).

Agree the cerium gray trim looks tacky and keeps water stains annoyingly. Reminds me of the old Mercs with copper trim and how ugly that was.

It's interesting how every iteration seems to bring back the magic at some point. First there's a lot of criticism, but that criticism eventually dissipates.

"By the time you look down on any straight, you're doing 20 mph more than you'd guess."

Even with just the 330i I find this to be really true 😂 never really feels like your going as fast you are which is nice at times haha

M340i is the best driving BMW I've ever driven. And I had E92 M3 and F82.
This is also why I don't agree with "BMW was better in old days".

M340i is the perfect mix of engine, transmission, performance, comfort, practicality, luxury, tech...
And it will definitely be way more reliable than older models, as BMWs have been getting more and more reliable in the last decade.

My only gripe with it, is the slightly boring design. Although it looks way better than F30, G22 and G11 now made all other BMWs look old and bland. That's why I wish M440i GC was available by December, when my lease ends, since I need 4 doors...

Are you serious? A BMW without its chrome kidney grill is not a BMW. Only rednecks take the black grill option

Huh? Come on BMW's non-M cars have clearly become a mainstream focused car. Makes sense financially for BMW to hit bigger market sizes than enthusiasts.

Steering feel sucks now. The first time I drove a BMW it was the stiff steering that stood out. It was so different but the moment you adjusted to it you couldn't go back.

They've been mainstream focused cars. That's the whole purpose. The ///M's are the variants that have become more mainstream.......still great cars though.

I've noticed the exact opposite. Cars always get positive reviews initially, then the real feelings come out.

Well you're entitled to your opinion, but you and three others are the only individuals who feel this way.

I haven't really seen that where the BMW 3 Series and M3(M4) cars are concerned. Criticized heavily in the beginning, revered later in the model cycle.

With the F30 reviews were lukewarm to negative right off the bat and never improved. But I agree regarding the F80, reviews were tepid at first then improved especially once the Competition was added.
