No they're almost the same as the GS. All the way through the L shaped lighting. VERY Lexus inspired and undeniably so.
You clearly know nothing about automobile design language.

The form language of those tail-lights is not the same.

If you think it is I'd go get your eyes examined.

Was this for me?

I don't think they're the same merely mentioning how I get that some think them similar in look to Lexus.

What I am not saying, is that BMW intentionally designed them to emulate Lexus.

Next thing people are going to say that the roundness of the wheels is too Lexus inspired. Or the license plate area is too close to an Acura.
Taken out of context but maybe I wasn't clear enough. Oh well...

But in fairness, BMW has had somewhat L-shaped rear lights since the F10 I think.
I wasn't referring to the L shape. Additionally, I've always been a fan of BMWs tail lights, among other features obviously.

Actually it was for 10 inch.

I still think the design language is completely different.

Who cares, all cars look similar nowadays besides a 911, Wrangler and Gelandewagen.

The difference is that the Lexus will be driven for 15 mostly trouble-free years and BMW will be in the shop for something once a month and then no one will see it 8-9 years later on a road. What does happen to old BMWs? You see 15 year old Lexus and 20 year old Land Cruisers all the time, yet old BMW's just disappear. Do they just fall apart and disintegrate

There should be a visual comparison with model 3. Personally think that car looks like a Mazda 3 rather than cars that compete in the segment. Looks like a front wheel drive car rather than the longer hood of a rear drive sports sedan. They should have went for that look rather than the economy car proportions.

My five year old F-30 with over 70k miles has not spent one day in the shop for a mechanical issue. The only issue experienced so far was my center console displaying weird CD reading behavior and BMW replaced it no questions.
And I see 2003 BMWs on the road every single day.

You are lucky. I wasn't. Although the good part is that I test drove a lot of different BMW's as loaners so that was fun

BS comment.

I see E36, E46, 10+ year old E90s and not to mention E39 and E60s around here all the time.

Actually, it is rare to see first gen IS300 Lexus here ( They have mostly gone to the scrap!yards) and not that many 8-10 year old Lexus IS to be seen.

The BMW bashing coming from some here is really old and blatantly stupid.

I see plenty of older bimmers on the road with over 150k miles. Just recently there was a recall on the crv for fuel leaking into the oil. I personally drive a 340i with over 40k trouble free miles. It's no different to daily than a Japanese car except for the fun factor.

Well not too much similarity there, the BMW looks way better than that Lexus.

The RC tails are VERY similar. It looks like the turn signal is also located in the same position. The 3ers tails seem to swoop around vs cut up on the RC.

Are you implying the G20 is a Toyota in disguise?
