Here's my Interlagos E90 vs Yas Marina and Estoril. I'm partial as this is my second Interlagos M3 but it's still my favorite blue BMW ever made. Love the gloss, metallic and change in color for different lighting

Great photo!
Really interesting. I will get flamed to hell and back as I know they are different BUT That new blue looks almost like SMB for free, rather than the £££ option. Unless you see them side by side and then there is the difference.

I'm partial to estoril since I had it on my m235i and now my m240i. however that new blue is really nice and I could live with it for sure. I would like to see le mans and montego blue with them as well. also would be cool to see a shot when it's cloudy out as that can really change how the blues look.

It's interesting how BMW is doing a slight downgrade to several great M colors to arrive at the new color for the non-M cars:
Long Beach Blue to snapper rocks Sahkir Orange to sunset orange San Marino to Portimao Blue I'm not sure what to think of it. My initial reaction is that it hurts the M cars and the new colors could be better by just using the M colors. |

Portimao looks almost like Mystic Blue from the E46 days. Would love to see cars in those colors next to each other. But, of course, the best BMW blue ever is Laguna Seca Blue!

The proof that BMW has an obsession with blue. No wonder that "BLUE BMW drivers are the worst"...
Just search on Google "blue BMW drivers" and hundreds of articles will pop up about jerks, @ss6oles, etc. In the meantime I would REALLY appreciate if BMW will come up with some beautiful colors. Nothing against blue but this brand truly overplayed it. Brown, green, violet, red's, yellows, and metallic in between are just as beautiful. |
