Sounds great, looks great when it's in the dark areas and you can't see it.

Man it just looks awful. The board needs to fire this head designer.

Although I understand it's a splendid ride, I do have the weird feeling it behaves inert and is not crispy on mass transfers.... It needs time to settle in corners and it's not that brisk. It's visibly searching for its balance and overshoots it's traject. In the vid you see it going sideways with drama, but at surprisingly low speeds.

Hope that first real tests proof I'am totally wrong on this one since an ugly grill is one thing, but compromised vehicle dynamics is now even more crucial than before.

I'd rather our only complaint be the non-German, more Japanese rear and silhouette. Unfortunately that front end is not only ugly it doesn't flow with the rest of the design language. If they would have kept more traditional kidney grilles, the overall German departure would have still garnered complaints but people would have accepted it.

I know I'm a bad person, but I really get a twist out of so many fanboys flipping out over the awful design. Keep it up, BMW are listening!

I read a lot of the "getting used to it" comments, but I honestly never lived this experience. The cars that looked like shit, still did after many months. I honestly can't remember any car that provoked an early reaction of aversion that became desirable later on. So certainly, this will also do not become a peach to my eyes.

Perhaps they're hoping you're going so fast that no one notices that ugly front end? Sheesh.

No it’s not. And who the hell is unconditionally loyal to the brand?

Anything is possible with the right incentives. They'll sell, but margins will be slim for BMW. This thing is ugly as hell at MSRP.

I really wanted an M3 for my next car, but with the all but certain look of the G80, I've pretty much moved on and have my sights on something else. I wouldn't consider this design without some extreme incentives.

they are not.... we've seen this before. They're way too arrogant to be responsive. BMW are little princesses in their own imagenary world of their moral dominion on us. Arrogance overshooted is leading to bankrupcy of the entire group. Just wait and see what happens.

It is such a damn shame. There are some really attractive parts about this car but they are completely overshadowed by the grille and the lack of a Hofmeister kink. This is the equivalent of the majority of presidential candidates. They have some really good policies and some really good ideas, if only they would keep their mouth shut.

Someone with photoshop skills please do a rendering with the license plate section only in all black so we can see what this pig really looks like without a plate.
There's already a post of this. No plates.
