330e Most efficient Electric only speed
Hello all,
I’m trying to find out what’s the most efficient speed when driving the 330e in pure electric mode to make the most of the range available. i.e would continuous driving at 55mph be more battery efficient than driving at 30 or 65mph? Any ideas / experience? Thanks |

Surely you just drive according to the relevant roads? I've found round town its crap, especially Sheffield as its so hilly. Eats up at least 5-6 miles of range driving at 30mph up my road which about 1.5 miles.

Yes, I’m guessing so, and I can imagine the hilly Sheffield roads have some effect. I was thinking more about say a 15 mile motorway vs say a 50mph A road to the same destination

My commute is 10 Miles and I can leave home with a range of 30 miles and arrive with 25 miles battery remaining. That's whilst keeping to speed limits and certainly not holding anyone up. |

I'm not an expert on this but I would imagine the most efficient speed depends on the model, gearing and many other variables. I don't see how 56mph is necessarily the most efficient speed for all petrol cars either. It's just a figure that's been used for years for comparison.
