Yeah no trip info for me as well. The horn/lights/unlock works well enough, location sometimes doesn't update. Sometimes range is also bugged, either doesn't update or says 0km/60% -.-

Thank you guys! Let’s see if there is anyone (at least one lucky person) that can see last trips info on the app or website

My previous JLR was showing all my trips data from several years ago.

Hi Guys,

It seems like mine car is comsuming way too much energy, here are the details.

3 drives a day all start from cold start around 5 Celcius
Display available range from 100% SOC is around 38 km
Actual range more like 33 km
Energy consumption 27 kWh/100km

Driving scenario, city driving but not to many standing still, average speed ca 60 km/h.

Let me know if you have any comments.

Every morning after a full charge my car shows a range of about 38 km. I actually manage about 32 or 33.

What is the distance of each trip? Or are you driving the 33km and using the full battery charge? Can make a difference to whether your consumption is in the expected range.

Perfectly normal and mimics what others say about city driving.

I get around 20-23 miles for my commute which has many traffic lights and roundabouts on the way meaning less economy. Sometimes 18-19 miles if I preheat the car.

Journeys on motorways doing 65mph I can get around 33-35 miles.

All using Hybrid Eco Pro

In terms of energy consumption we all have different use cases. The only way to know if your car has an issue would be if we swapped cars and used them on the same routes :-)

Mine is doing c. 28 miles on electric individual (c. 45km) Fairly flat route (Manchester -> Liverpool) Also mainly motorway including a large section with roadworks @ 50 MPH which really helps (first time I've ever said that about roadworks!)

Was thinking about comparing cars, when I typed my post this morning.

I also think there would be a few surprises for some of the user experiences, if the driver was different (not the car), over the same routes.

I recall a diesel driver who complained about fuel consumption, a friend drove the car over the same route. To prove his driving was not simply a slower 'economy' drive, ensured he averaged a higher speed over the trip. Returned a much better mpg, simply on driving technique alone.

I remember a study which reported on the factors which influence fuel consumption. The driver alone can influence consumption by up to 35%. I believe EV will show up this driver influenced variation for more drivers.

1 million % this

So many factors come into play

- How heavy or late are you on the brakes (lost energy)
- How heavy are you on the accelerator from a standstill
- Can you maintain a constant speed
- How well you can read the road in advance

This compounded with the route

- Traffic
- Number of junctions/roundabouts/sharp bends
- Elevation
- Speed limit
- Journey length

Also things like

- What trim/spec car you have
- Preconditioning the car
- Satnav hybrid anticipation
- Air conditioning during trips will reduce the range by a few miles
- Outside temperature (also resulting in more cabin heat needed/heated seats/wheel

There's not one magic number. Stop hoping for the WLTP figures for every eventuality.

Going real easy, no preconditioning, no A/C or heated seats. Radio and cabin heat on.

What kind of roads? City, rural, single/dual carriageway, motorway?

Traffic? Lights? Stop start?

Very rural. No traffic lights no stop/start. Not exceeding 90km per hour.

No one is going to mention the weight of the driver or how much extra weight is in the car? Full tank? 19" vs 18"? Road gradient makes a huge huge difference and then you have vampire drain too
Just fueled up there today first time since 12/12/19 and got 2027km with 1725km in electric, 1.5l/100km and 23.5kwh/100km, not bad for maybe 30L of petrol but the ICE mileage was super heavy foot on the motorway for about 300km.
The only thing that shocks me is the price change between fueling since it's usually months apart. Over 5500 kms with 2 tanks of fuel is pretty sweet in my books

This is very true. The one time I got over 70km in one trip it was 90kph on cruise control, straight plain road, alone in the car, 17" wheels

Battery Control is just another drive mode like Hybrid, Sport, Electric (AFAIK it won't run in the background if you select another drive mode)

You can set the desired % you wish to recharge to and it'll charge as you drive.

Conversely if you're already fully charged you can set it to a percentage and it won't drop below.

All at the cost of fuel consumption of course

A strange one this morning. I started off with a full charge as usual and a 38km range. I drove to work entirely on petrol in sport mode but when I arrived 10 minutes later the range had dropped to 33km even though I hadn't done any driving on electric. How did that happen??

I think sport mode can still call on battery power. Battery hold would maybe fix that but not sure you can hold 100% charge in that mode, maybe someone who has used it can confirm.

I am running my battery control at 100% and it seems to be giving great results with regards to battery drive. As I understand it it uses 100% of the charge so to speak.

I travel the distance to and from work on battery almost 100% of the time( 50km forth and back)

However I feel sorry for the ICE, it usually starts when I have a very short distance left. Today it started 300m from our house :S
