Absolutely hate Auto Start/Stop, even more so that they didn't make it like the F30 where it remembers last setting used.

Doesn't even work right, comes to a stop before I even completely stop the vehicle and if I slightly let off the gas to go up forward it jerks back on... it's a POS I always try to remember to cut it off once I start my vehicle.
So I guess we are all stuck pressing the button at the beginning of each drive or putting in Sport Mode...
Where is the button located to de-activate the ASS on the G20?
I didnt noticed it when I test drove a M340. thanks.

Right above the engine start/stop button. There is a small light on the bottom side of the button so when you have it turned off the light is lit.

I hope they come up with an update again like the F30

All = anyone who doesn't want to use Bimmercode or Esys, yes.

I coded memory for mine in esys. Makes things much better. Also, brake pedal did nothing for me when I tested it today

Same. I only ever re-enable mine when I'm stuck in a Drive-thru line or something, and the last time I was I tried out the brake pedal suggestion. Mine didn't seem to react to pressing the pedal down harder...if the ASS hadn't already stopped the engine, the pedal didn't convince it to.

It is annoying because when i am pulling into a parking spot slowly so as not to hit the curb in front, it shuts the engine off if i accidentally stop.

It's an app through where you can code your vehicle to do things which generally aren't applied to the car.

For example, if you want your one-touch blinker setting to be 5x instead of 3x, you can do that through the app. Or turn off Auto Start Stop, change settings and views on your Instrument Cluser, iDrive settings which aren't shown, etc etc...

I'm not sure of all the things you can do for the G20, but maybe someone who's used the functionality can chime in.

There are multiple concurrent Bimmercode threads in the G20 'DIYs and Coding' forum. Use the search function in there.

I use it in a drive thru too but wish it could be enabled in sport plus. Sometimes if you turn it on after you initially stop it won't activate until you move again and stop on the f30.

If the car is fully stopped and you don’t have any A/C on, you can push the brake pedal a bit harder to make the auto stop come on if it’s not already.

Sometimes I’m at a very long red light and auto stop/start won’t engage the engine even though the engine is warmed up so this little tip would come in handy.

Though it still is very jerky and sucks to feel the whole vibration throughout the car when the engine turns on again.
After additional testing I can replicate this. The car has to be capable to turn off, but not off for some reason. 2 scenarios I replicated were when traffic in front of you keeps slowly moving up, or the car tried to shut off before you fully stopped, and is staying running for a bit.
