My car is March 2019 and I have been able to purchase this
Safety Camera warning.

Mine is a March 20 build but registered sep 20. BMW UK say that my vehicle is unable to have the safety camera update as it requires hardware changes at build? I have ID7 and 2021.03 it seems some people on here with older builds have the option. What's going on?

Is it tied to one or more options?? Mine is a March 2020 build with all tech options ticked.

Thanks, I've got Tech pack, M Sport plus and comfort plus packs. Cockpit Pro etc, so thought it should work?

Strange. I was wondering if it could be tied to Driving Assistant Professional? I wanted to sign-up for my wife’s’ 118i but it wasn’t an option. Her’s also has all the tech options but you can only get Driving Assistant (not Pro).

Mine is March 2020 build and Safety cameras work perfectly. I do have Driving assistant Pro?

My wife's 128ti which is Jan 2021 build won't let me add them yet though? So maybe it is linked to DAP as you cannot have that on a 1 series?

Mine is July 2020 build, registered November 2020, running 11/2020.35, all works fine and Alexa after doing an Idrive reboot a week or so ago..

Here's a strange one, when I 1st installed it, it was set in the HUD as default, I never changed any settings, it just worked. Since then, every time I've got in the car, it's reverted to the instrument cluster and I've had to go into the settings and alter it to HUD and then it worked fine until I get in the car again when it reverts back to the Instrument Cluster.

Did an iDrive reset this morning coming to work and set it back into HUD, so will be interesting to see if it stays in the HUD setting on my way home. At least I have plenty of cameras to test it on during my commute!!

I have the same problem, got 2 days out of it this week on the HUD until it reverted back this morning.

I think there is a conflict in the settings for HUD instrument cluster.

If you work your way through the menus you'll find there's two different places where route warnings are switched between the HUD and dashboard. Maybe there's a conflict between them?

Tried that, it alters both when you alter one and it works fine until you restart the car and they both revert back to Instrument Cluster.

How odd.

Maybe try disabling the camera warnings (via the thing in apps), restart iDrive, and then re-enable the warnings.

Right, looks like the iDrive reset has done the trick, without altering anything I'm back to the notifications in the HUD. Let's see how long that lasts!!

Had 2 failed attempts to purchase safety cameras so spoke with BMW connected drive customer service who advised that problem may well be down to me using safari browser 🙄
Tried on friends windows pc and went through straight away and appeared in car this morning.
Just need to find a speed - sorry safety 🤭 - camera to see it working 🤞
