From STi to 2021 M340i

Hi all

Long time WRX / STi driver here and just made the switch to the 2021 M340i (x-drive) about a week or so ago. Ever since my fiance ended up getting her 2019 440i, I fell in love with BMW.

The lease on my 2018 STI was up in a few months and I surprisingly avoided the mod bug throughout the term lol.

Decided it was time for a change and was looking for an upgrade with a decent amount of power and all wheel drive. Had my sights on the new M3, but didn't want to wait for the AWD model. Test drove an M340i and immediately fell in love. The power is immediate and it drives so smooth. At times I find myself doing a double take on the speed you're at. The interior is stunning and I'm still getting up to speed on all of the different options it came with.

It came with 5 miles on it, so I'm babying it for now until break-in. I do notice a decent exhaust note and some slight pops, but nothing compared to the 2020 M340i. I was told it would get a bit louder after break-in.

Initially was going for the darker rims, but my dealer was able to locate all of my options without having to wait a long time for delivery.

So glad to be a part of the BMW family!

Haha. I took a break after building up my 06 STi and the 18 came with the SPT catback. Tempted to go DP / tune in future though.
