Carbon fiber trim - regular vs dark

does anyone have any real world pictures of the difference between these 2 options? I know the aluminum trim is either black or aluminum looking.... but the carbon fiber looks different as well.

Carbon trim combo

Curious as well. Saw a videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCD75nCV2fU where it looks like it was the lighter colored aluminum carbon but with black accent trim, but on paperwork was called pearl trim which was confusing. I liked that combination, but seems on the USA configuator the black accent trim accompanies the darker carbon fiber.

I saw a real world pic today where the carbon fiber actually looked matte but I have no idea if it was the light or dark version

This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out same video. I want the same trim. Is it silver or dark?

I think it's individual like the leather color in this video. They did silver carbon with black trim underneath

Looked it up on Dutch BMW site it is silver carbon with standard trim(pearl is what they call it). Looks like I will switch my order now.

I think the silver trim just looks darker in his video. This from the Dutch site same option.

Regular trim look more like the steering finish, the dark one is more smoke aluminium

On the picture, look more like the dark one. (If you check under the carbon fiber)

It's not though. It's the silver cabon. The spec sheet says so. You can't tell because low light.

If you look at the trim below the carbon (it's either black or silver)... that will help you determine which it is

I was searching for some pics of interior. This looks to be the silver(non dark). It looks very very silver.

I think it's just the way the light is hitting it. Makes it look dark.

If you change the trim in the configurator that always stays dark.

That might also be the ceramic control option we don't have in the US for around the shifter.

You do know it's not Carbon Fiber correct? Both are anodized aluminum.

I think this inquiry begins and ends with what the configurator shows (in every country). The dark carbon structure trim has the dark gloss accent along the edge. The regular carbon structure trim has a silver/pearl accent along the edge.

While the video (of the tartuffo car) is a source of confusion, my hunch is that their custom created option list printout (made just for that video - it isn't a standard official document of any sort) simply mixed up the two different trims and listed theirs as the regular carbon structure trim in error, when it should have been listed as the dark structure trim.

The video clearly shows a dark gloss accent along the edge of the trim (ie dark structure trim). And if you compare the trim in the video to the other pics in this thread, the actual carbon structure in the video looks very dark.
