Something "competitive" in Top Fuel.

First test run was a 7.01 @ 192mph shutting off a bit early. Far too much clutch at the start made it a bit wild. Hopefully we'll get another go later today.

Not giving up, I quickly sewed the two legs of my Y-fronts up, lifted them above my head and held on for dear life. The Y-fronts ballooned in size and my make piece parachute did its job as I fell back to earth, in a field in good old Blighty!

It took a week and an improbable amount of lubricant to separate my testicles from my ears, but it was worth it, as I was back in the arms of Mrs Brigand .

Sometimes I wonder about you .....

We got a second run yesterday and elected to make just a launch. The 60' improved from 1.25 to 1.17 but we still had bad tyre shake so will continue with the adjustments tomorrow (Saturday). It's been raining heavily all night and is still raining now so we have plenty of time to study the datalogs.

Here's the first run ticket.

Good work Lorcan, so close to sixes and 200mph. Would be great to crack both of those

Oh, and excellent RT. All that cash counting calculator work selling spring kits is paying off

We did better but lost in the semi-final to the event winner. We were pleased with the second half speed, a 50mph increase in 2.3 seconds. A bit more work needed on the front half

Favourite pic of the weekend. Head down, wheel up, 10,000rpm and 3,780 lbs of pre-programmed pressure on the clutch trying to smoothly engage 850hp in around 1 second.
