Rumor: BMW M3 Touring Being Considered

COMMENTS

A rumor comes out of Autocar that BMW is considering producing the first ever M3 Touring - based on the upcoming new 3 Series Touring.

Quote:
BMW has never officially produced an M3 Touring, but insiders at the firm suggest that it’s finally being considered as a rival to the Audi RS4 Avant and Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate. The development costs would be minimal, allowing BMW to justify launching a load-lugging M3 in European markets but not the US, where the estate isn’t generally favoured by buyers. I'd move to Europe for a M3 Competition Touring with 6MT and RWD. A true unicorn.

it's like they dont know anything about the US market. do some fucking market research BMW. Ask your current M3 owners, ask x3m40i owners. "Would you buy your car in a wagon?" I guarantee you'll find an interest in the states. Every single person I have met that drives and M3 would LOVE an m3 wagon. NEWS FLASH: Car guys fucking adore wagons

Well they've all but said the new wagon will not be coming to the States. So there's virtually zero chance we'll ever see a M3 touring the same way we never got the M5 touring.

I'd be willing to bet anything if they brought it to the states it outsell europe. Americans that are fond of euros all love wagons, I really just dont understand. i get that the general public doesnt buy wagons, but the general public doesnt buy an M3. that's already a small market, and it's a market very heavily populated with wagon lovers. especially as those m3 buyers move from their 20s to 30s and start to think they need extra space. I know for a fact there are people driving X5Ms that never would have bought that car of they could have a wagon

If they would put anything larger than a 28i in a wagon I would buy one. I for sure would buy one if it was in M form....

I'm sure it has zero chance of getting a manual. But just in case, I'll start pitching my wife on becoming a barrister.

mimimimi I want a manual -> barely anyone actually buys manuals so they're going extinct

mimimimi I want a wagon -> barely anyone would actually buy a wagon

But you still think you know more than a company with a 100 billion euro revenue.

Trump still president...
BMW considering an M3 Touring....

A move to Europe is looking more and more appealing. Now to decide which country to choose.

Also. Can we start a petition to BMW to bring a manual wagon M3 here? I'm ready with deposit.

I saw this comment on BMW's Official Instagram and immediately wrote it off as BMW trolling but apparently not...

Please make this happen.

I saw the headline...got really excited and then the comments brought me back to reality that even if they do make it, it'll likely be a Euro-only model.

So what country are we all thinking for that G81 building? It'll be kind of like that M-Town commercial BMW ran recently.
