Similar wtf .. still no red, at all, for the 5 series. I don't understand why, I would have picked it over my black/blue stitching.

i wish it would cost that much. vernasca at $1750 makes the merino a great deal if it were that much, but in reality doubt that will be the case. i think we are getting ripped off on the vernasca pricing.

Once you actually sit in a Merino leather interior, you immediately can see and feel the difference. The stitching is a nice touch you don't want to go too far with or it'll look gaudy.

This. I think black is a very predictable and safe color and would never option it but when you sit in a merino leather-equipped 3er, there is a significant difference.
