Video: Visiting Legendary JDM BMW tuner Studie AG

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Whilst visiting Japan we always make time to visit our friends and Eventuri BMW Japan Distributors Studie AG.

They are legendary in Japan for being one of the must go places to have your BMW maintained and modified, and with such a rich history it means even their showroom is bursting with cool things to see, from plush toys to S65 Race Engines. They also have their own BMW race team and are currently running two M4 GT4's in the Blancpain GT Series Asia.

Thanks for sharing.

For those who haven't heard of Studie AG, they are a renowned BMW tuner shop that also happens to build & race BMWs in touring car racing mainly in Japan/Asia (i.e., Super GT, Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, GT500) as BMW Team Studie or for their customers under Studie Racing.

I stopped by Studie AG's Yokohama facility while in Japan last year.
Of course, I was there on a private capacity instead of as a customer/vendor/media, so I didn't get any sort of special welcome/access.
I was hoping to catch a glimpse of some of their race cars/builds, but either they were at a different location (they have several throughout Japan), or they were on the track somewhere.
Still, it was pretty cool seeing all the memorabilia and merchandise.

Some iPhone photos from my visit:

I visited their facility a few years ago on a trip to Tokyo. As Law said, no special access as I was just there as a private individual. Pretty cool place though!

Yokohama is a treasure trove of car companies and tuners in the Tokyo area and is well worth a visit if you're a big car nut. Nissan Omori factory is there - a great place to see all the generations of GTR cars and pick up rare Nismo parts. Famous GTR tuner Mine's is there, famous Honda tuner J's Racing, Mooneyes, Tomei, Weld, Vertex, Advance and many more.

Great company and really cool bunch of guys.

I was invited to watch one of their races in Shanghai. I made a Vlog but was only on my phone so quality is not great but you get the idea.

I respect the brand/heritage and they definitely have nice stuff but studie decals for $20 and stuffed animals for $100+ is a hard pass for me

Lol...that's way higher than BMW/CCA/M merchandise.
I've visited couple of famous BMW tuner/stuff shops in US. They are always more than willing to take us on shop tour and show things. Even the biggest famous distributer in North America let's you check out things.

Maybe, these guys are v big and accommodating everyone is not possible or just don't care unless they are getting some publicity.

The guys are very friendly especially with people visiting from over seas. I guess just email them ahead of time.

I do business with them and class them as personal friends so I just treat it as my own place.

Been to 3 of their locations over the years. So much eye candy for the BMW fan! The employees are all really nice and they loved the fact that we came from Hawaii. I rock a bunch of their decals on my E92

My pleasure. I had no plan to vlog it and then thought I had not seen anyone do one on a Studie location before. Looks like it was on interest to a lot of people.

I've only been to the Tokyo one due to time constraints when I'm visiting. Would love to visit some of the other ones too.

The other ones are smaller and not as "fancy" as the one you went to. Still pretty awesome to see a collective of BMW parts. The E30 car converted into a gaming rig was pretty awesome too
