Maple Open-Pored Trim

Just wanted to share these photos as it was almost impossible to find photos of the maple open-pored wood trim. Everyone else seems to be ordering the dark oak grain open-pored trim.

I wanted to like it but think it's best with the light colored leather only.

Ehh it's alright , I would only maybe get it if I went with a Mocha interior . It looks really sharp, the two paired together. But wow does it look terrible with the black interior. I personally think dark oak is the best , no matter what color interior choice.

Yeah agreed.

What surprised me was a lot of the cars sitting on the lots come with a default option of this piano black, which isn't even on the BMWUSA configurator. This isn't the high-gloss ash grey-brown. It looks good but seems too common.

Oak grain open-pored. Goes surprisingly well with the Cognac dashboard.

That's exactly what I went for with my car. Wish that Cognac was actually a bit darker like actual cognac lol , instead of brown. The more I see Mocha the more I like it. But it's just too dark for my taste. For those ordering a white car, do yourself a favor and get Mocha interior instead of regular old plain black. It would look absolutely stunning , while maintaining that iconic black/white sporty look.

Yeah I have Cognac in my F30 340i and the G20 Cognac looks to be slightly brighter?

My only concern with Cognac is how well the colored dash will mesh with the ambient lighting strip. I'm going to leave mine on full brightness blue 24/7. I saw that the ambient lighting looks really bad with the cream/white dash but haven't seen one lit up with the Cognac dash.

I know Mocha looks really good with the ambient blue lighting. This is a horrible edit I did to change the light from red to blue. Nerd reference: see Enterprise-E bridge.

I'm not ordering till December so I'll let the rest of you be guinea pigs
