Wireless charging not working unless I've missed something?
As above, I got my new 330i yesterday and I have tried everything to get wireless charging working but it doesn't, for some reason. I put my Galaxy S10e in the tray, nothing, I switch on wifi smart share, nothing, start engine, ignition on, off, nothing!
Any ideas? Thanks |

I got the car as a low mileage demo which has M Sport plus and comfort packs. Where the phone sits for wireless charging there's a wifi symbol on the black plastic tray, so I presume I have it

Wireless charging is part of the Technology Package in the UK. If you have a HUD, you have wireless charging:
Technology package BMW packages are designed to group together certain options around a particular aspect of your BMW driving experience to help make your choice of options easier. The Technology package comprises a Head-up Display, harman/kardon loudspeaker system, BMW Gesture Control, Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging and Wifi hotspot preparation (M Sport models) and Head-up Display, Hifi loudspeaker system, Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging and Wifi hotspot preparation (SE and Sport models). |

As an alternative to the normal key, you can use NFC via your smartphone (android only) or the BMW NFC key card to access and start the vehicle. I have this on my car but I'm an iOS user so can't use my phone. I'm also told there's an annual subscription charge for this, though the first year is free. It's shown here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1564252 Hope this helps pal. |

Ah, would be worth someone with a G20 checking on the USB socket thing. I'm pretty sure a standard car only has a USB socket in the compartment ahead of the gear-lever and the one under the armrest is part of Enhanced Bluetooth pack. My car hasn't yet arrived to check and I didn't order either Tech pack or Enhanced Bluetooth...

Ah sorry, my mistake. Genius once told me there was only 1 USB socket on a standard car. Does the one in the centre armrest provide media access (music etc) or is it charge only?

Just received an email from the dealer - Only cars with Technology Pack have wireless charging. My car doesn't have this but does have 2 USB sockets so I'll just use one of them for phone charging

Dealer isn't quite right, you can order the Bluetooth Enhanced option on its own. Would love to know if both sockets can be used for media or whether the armrest socket is charge only?
