Well I suppose it doesnít mean anything in the US but diesels are still very compelling to long distance European drivers.
If you were paying the equivalent of £1.30 per litre of fuel you may show interest too.

BMW have more than the US market to satisfy

The bmw won the comparison though, despite being the 320d.

Disappointing for Volvo and its S60. It is a stunningly good looking car inside and out.

I watched the whole thing. It's interesting to see how these cars compare in terms of build quality, practicality, etc. Not just speed.

Wouldn't say "stunningly" lol I think it looks good but Matt got the looks right. Giulia -> 3 series.

I know this is subjective and personal taste but i think the Giulia is pretty generic looking. Doesn't stand out nor does it look that distinguishable. At least not in 2019.

S60 on the other hand is gorgeous. I was ready to pull the trigger until i test drove it. Steering is lifelessly numb and light. Seats are amazingly comfortable though. Volvo shouldn't market it as a sports sedan.

G20 is growing on me. Looks ultra modern. Review is pretty spot on and the same conclusion myself and others have reached- very comfortable commuter car that can be pushed hard when/if needed and will deliver. Basically all things for everyone in the category.

You mean you weren't curious how many pieces of luggage fit in the boot of each car with both the rear seats up AND with them down???

I don't know why people keep saying Giulia is good looking. Too much of a stretch. It is still an Alpha Romeo, cheap and unreliable is the reputation.

Good proportions, simple, sporty but also restrained styling really helps. It has that Italian flair. While I wouldn't consider it beauty levels as that of say an E46 or F06, I would say its quite a stylish and handsome sedan, not drop dead gorgeous, but pretty high ranking for style when it comes to its class. But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If we all agreed on styling, the Lexus spindle grill and gigantic BMW grills would have been gone by now.

Mine has been absolutely rocksolid, and even though it lacks some of the power of my F80, I have just as much if not more fun driving it and it was half the price.

Electronic technology in the BMW makes the Alpha Romayo look archaic. But in the driving experience There's a certain feel and flair that you can't quite quantify. It's a fun car.

Good review which covers the more mundane parts of car ownership which let's be honest we all need.

Thing for me is just look at the opening scene before you hit play and how out of place the big black grilles look on that colour 3er!

However as much as I hate them I have no doubt an m340i touring will be sat on the drive a few months after a decent deal appears. Just wont have that grille/paint colour combo

I think he got it right. Iíd be biased toward the Alfa since itís the only truly sporty car there, but itís hard to live with the typical FCA cheap interior and overall lackluster build quality.

The Bimmer is the best all rounder for sure.

My dad is was in the market and couldnít find a ďsportĒ sedan in this class that was as fun to drive and as luxurious as his E90...so he got a Macan S. Itís got a better combination of driving dynamics and interior/build quality than any of these cars could dream of.
