Hello,

Your findings and comparison of mission tuning m340 dyno making more power than ours is incorrect. I'll explain.

1. The stage 1 number of 460 you are referencing is crank the actual number on their website is 418 whp on a dyno jet.

2. This Dyno is highlighting how well our Epa catted downpipe works with our tune. For max hp numbers we suggest going with our Cattless Downpipe.

3..They are using a dynojet which reads much higher than a mustang dyno typically 10% to 15% more. We can go with the lower of the two to try and compare as best we can. Giving our tune a peak of 473whp +or - and 507 wtq + Dynojet Estimated.

Max Hp Dyno Estimate
-Active Autowerke Peak Max hp stage 2 473whp and 507 wtq (Epa certified catted downpipe)

-Mission performance Peak Max hp Stage 2 473 whp 485 wtq (cattless downpipe Assumed)

6500 rpm near redline Hp Estimate.
-Active Autowerke Stage 2 @ 6500 Rpm 467 whp & 347 wtq (Catted downpipe with 10% dynojet conversion

-Mission performance stage 2 @ 6500 rpm 440whp & 350 wtq (cattless downpipe Assumed)

Thank you for the precise explanation of your tune.

Very similar numbers, but i'm quite shure mission performance numbers are with stock downpipe.

But very good numbers from your tune.

Can you guys remote flash the latest bmw anti-flash software?

Here you go.

Stock hardware, no vrsf downpipe.

Just a tune and 93 gas.

Last edited by PunkSinatra; 01-29-2020 at 01:28 PM.. Reason: False when writing 91 cali gas with e85 mix insted of the correct 93 gas.

Their website says 93 octane and the insta post says e85 mix not apples to apples.... Not sure why you would tune for stage 2 on a stock downpipe but either way they should have better descriptions.

When creating the tune for m340i our goal was to create a safe, reliable and smooth curve to redline. I think we have succeeded on all of those points.

Here is a dyno for fun m340 vs stock m4 6 speed. A fbo M4 makes 477whp on our dyno.

It says on your site "OBD Flashing Option" can you provide some more detail into what that means? Is it available on all ECU software versions and updates? Or is bench flashing required first?

Yes of course. We flash this model with a Enet cable. We will send you one or if you already have one or want to purchase one from Amazon we will credit you $20 bucks.

From their you just need a laptop running windows and we will send your custom file to you once give us your software version .

Good question! We always attempt to use 5th gear but in this case since we have a loaded mustang dyno the run time was just way to long. 5th gear does typically produce higher numbers just an fyi.

cool thanks :-)

so to provide a CliffsNotes version for everyone of the results using your info (Max) I am seeing the following (please tell me if I'm reading the results wrong in that i'm mobile and text is small) are these deltas correct?
  • 93 octane
  • AA catted downpipe
  • Stage 1 vs stock: +46HP & +73 Ft-LB
  • Stage 2 vs stock: +58HP & +86 Ft-Lb

Not exactly because we dont have a 100% stock run. All runs were done with our high flow catted downpipe. The only variable being the tune.

Also above is a stage 1+ file or 1.5 what ever you wish to use. We do have a stage 1 file that we use for completely stock cars as well which will be a little less aggressive.

Why not? I'd like to see tune without since I'm unlikely to modify the down pipe on a leased car...

okay got it thanks for the clarification that makes sense - so the delta's are correct - but the baseline (represented by "1" on your dyno chart) would be a stock car with an AA catted downpipe vs a 100% stock car.

Does remote start and launch control work with your tune? Do you need to do the key card trick?
