They seems to be from October 2019.

It’d great to see the current one and how the ‘supposedly free’ CarPlay has affected that charts.

Chart is total BS. All connected drive features stopped working in our 2010 5-series when the 2G cell network was turned off.

There was an option from BMW directly to update/retrofit the cellular technology in all cars that were affected when 2G connectivity was shut down.

Not unless vehicle was still under warranty. And even then they tried to buy off the owners with a gift card. For our car there was no upgrade even if we wanted to pay for it.

I thought I saw somewhere that they announce Android Auto support. Not listed here.

Same here. But I thought it was to 3G and not LTE.

ETK said the one I installed was an LTE retrofit. I am not in the US, so this was not part of the US update/recall.

why would remote start not be included as a connected drive service... i suppose those cars still can be remote started with the key...

Also 10/29/19 date? i wonder if there is a more up to date version

I was also able to upgrade to 3G while my E92 was under CPO warranty. Do you use any of BMW's connected services? I currently dont but its good to know that I am not shut out if I choose to use them in the future.

3g is going bye bye end of this year with one carrier and end of next with the other, So actually you won’t. You need 4g LTE to keep having access.
Not that I’ve seen them be worth anything except weather which my watch and phone already do.

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I assume this LTE update is possible to use in US as well?

If so, what are the part numbers/instructions for the retrofit?

I would definitely appreciate this tech update.

Anyone know if there's going to be any kind of retrofit available? Based on the email I just received, it's my understanding that nothing will be available through BMW- But any aftermarket hacks or anything I can do? I'm long out of warranty. I really like having realtime traffic updates on my nav. I don't have to mess with my phone, and it's on my heads-up, which is easy breezy. I kind of resent that they phase your tech out on a fairly high-tech car, that I still have low mileage on and am very happy with otherwise. Any help is greatly appreciated.
