M340i did that lap with MPS4S. Not bad.

Found this to compare times
https://fastestlaps.com/tracks/hockenheim-gp Looks like the time isn't bad at all... it's not as fast as the M2 Comp (1.57) but it's faster than an E90 M3. On par with a 997 generation base Carrera.... For a 4 door sedan I think the time is pretty impressive. It's not meant to be a track car or a true M car. It's a sporty street car / daily driver. I'm curious how fast an F80 M3 would do it ? Didn't see a time for that car.

Compared to what car? M2CS doesn't count. Show me cars that are direct competitors ala C43, S5 etc that has done significantly better times.

I'd be interested in seeing how that compares to the F80/82, with the amount people seem to be comparing them these days for their 0-60 and straight line performance.

Mine came also with MPS4S NON RFT staggered size mounted on the 792M wheels currently in storage at the dealership.
Since mine arrived in January, I am still on Pirelli Sottozero winter tires mounted on black 792's. Just had another East Coast winter storm ![]() |

So strange! So they have different tyres depending on the market?
Even stranger that the Australian spec M340i doesn't come with RFT given how, you know, far away everything is from everything else over here. You don't want a flat tyre halfway across the country... On the upside, we don't have to every buy a set winter tyres and rims 😅 |
