M440 makes the M340 look really tame by it's side.
The 4 series actually looks pretty mean and in my opinion looks good!

F30 made E90 look older. E90 made E46 look older. That's what a NEW car is supposed to do. Not going to pat BMW on the back for making a 2020 car look newer than a car from 2012

nice comparison. I know the grills are not liked by some but I am starting to really like it. I saw it in person as well and it looks good in person also.

So regarding performance is there any difference? I know the 440 is potentially lighter (I am assuming here) with it being a coupe but just considering engine power, like for like. Is the 440 up in the Bhp over the 340?

The new 4 series reminds me of the hitler mustache. Seen one today live, it's very ugly.

BMW should offer option of having the 3 series front. Just like a badge delete. Free of charge.

Have been reading through this thread and it seems that we are equating "older" with "not as good." I could be wrong, but that's my perception. That said, I think we could all come up with plenty of cars that look older but still have a timeless design. A good example would be the Jaguar E-type or some of the older BMWs. The new BMW, especially the grill, make the previous generation seem slightly older but I'm not so sure it makes it better. I still feel that it's in a wrong direction (even though the new design looks good in certain colors) and it would behoove the company to take another look at the direction and re-prioritize based off what has worked in the past.

Ugh. I know. Everyone always talks about the grilles, but the tail lights on both cars are absolutely atrocious. I can live with the grilles, but the tail lights are a deal breaker for me. I am hopeful they will improve the 3er's tail at LCI, but I'm not sure what they'll do with the 4er. The whole slanted look is just awful on a BMW.
